Downloading a keylogger for your own computer won't do anything...theres many of them which you can use for personal use..just google them & nothing would have happend to your account, unless your brother plays RS and was trying to steal your pass

i guess he was using msn so he can change it record his chats anyway!

 

i dont know how my sis changed it but she somehow keeps on reading mine :evil: :evil: very annoying when she knows who im going out with before anyone else apart from me

A program such as perfect keylogger, used the way you describe is not a virus, or anything malicious at all. The way you are speaking suggests that you think all your passwords were e-mailed to PKL's designers so they can steal all your runite when in fact they really couldn't care less.

 

Oh, and unless a complete moron tried to keylog you, a "xomg!11 buy it now" popup is a pretty clear indicator it isn't too dangerous ;)

Malicious or not, he downloaded something he wasn't supposed to. Who's to say he would have stopped there? He could have easily been put under the impression that things called keyloggers are good, and from there he would have downloading something that was actually malicious.

 

 

 

You need to look a little deeper than the nature of the software. If I may quote you, "Wow, you're dumb."

i gave my step brother my password long long time ago so if i forgot it he had it, well he wrote it down thats ok, then his little brother got it hes 10 or so, and got on my account after find the paper, i told him if he ever does it agian ill break every finger he has, and i scare the *** out of him, and surely enough he didnt do it agian:)

if ur brother got furious that u deleted it did u ever stop to think maybe he needed his chat logs for somthing? because its a program u can download or buy to make sure your children or other people dont have naughty convo's. so maybe ur the idiot?

I know it was the wrong thing for your brother to do, but he probably didn't think about what he was doing and how many people it would upset.

 

 

 

Always remember though, he is YOUR brother, respect him, odnt go attacking him for things that he doesn't know he's doing wrong, just explain to him....NICELY....and make sure he doesn't do it again. You cant go calling your falmily "IDIOTS" on the internet and forums, in a way that is almost as bad as downloading a keylogger itself!

Agreed. The perfect keylogger is a program in which you can monitor the keystrokes of the people who use your own computer.. although that could simply mean your little brother decided to start Runescape and figured your account could lend him a helping hand... Anyways, nice to see someone other than me like to take precautions. You can never be too careful.. as you can see at one point I missed a scan or something.
