There are much better methods even in paint than just relying on mainly circles/ovals like in your head. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. My biggest problem is drawing good weapons/shields. The shield is ment to be like that. Kinda turned. And I know that the scimmy is turned around. I forgot about that. Instead of a big wide plate with blue underneath it right below the helmet. try cutting them in two. The scimitar is too small and very 2d, the shield is lumpy, and his legs aren't proportionate. And I don't even think you drew those p-hats... They look beyond your skill. You scribbled in the colors and drew incredibly rough 'linework'. It's just a random doodle that I would generaly dismiss as a joke image. I'm being brutaly honest here, but I would work on it, a lot. (if you want to get good. If this is just you being boored than whatever). What I said on another thread. That's the main focus of critcism is finding out what is wrong, you'll learn way more if you take the initiative to learn how to fix it on your own then if someone tells you how to do it. Sorry, but we're not your art teacher or you mommy and daddy, that's not our job. Our job is to constructively criticize a piece, and by constructive it does not mean, "Here this is what you have to do to fix it and make it perfect," it is on the other hand, "This is wrong, this is wrong this is wrong," but not in a rude manner. Now you want us to focus on other things? Okay I will start with the guy however, horribly done. Part of his arm has a chunk taken out, apparently people have perfectly round heads, one hand has a glove the other doesn't. No shading at all, the scimitar is just not done well at all, shape it better, google some pictures of a scimitar and reference from there if needed. The crotch is all messed up, one leg is apparently skinny and the other one has some genetic formation of elephantitis on it, and one last thing for the guy, that's a shield? Couldn't tell. Also his feet are far to small, how would you support yourself with feet 2 inches long and 90 pounds of armour on? The stuff at the side, party hats are meh, okay, but not wonderful, once again no shading. The coins are all shoddy and different thickness, try adding some dimensions for them instead of just drawing in a stack, show a few laying about, a small knocked over pile or something with some dynamicism in it. The mask, I dunno, no shading, misshaped, what else is there to say, it's just like the rest of this piece, very poorily done. I do not see how one can produce something like this and go, "HEY THIS LOOKS GOOD!" and post it, honestly I do not. God knows my first wasn't amazing or even great, but at least it showed that I tried way more than you did. Basically learn anatomy, learn shading, umm... art class 101 is for you buddy? And search Google for guides, I don't see why people always expect things to be provided for them. Also, what does Jesus have to do with this? EDIT: I'd also like to add don't use your age as a scapegoat, Godslayer, who is 13 or 14 now, is an amazing artist and he's just about your age. Honestly, for a 12 year old, you can not tell me that looks good. I could understand if you were, I dunno,8 or so... but for 12 that's... well.. meh. Here's a tip, actualy take your time if you want to do something. Be ause right now, you can not look right at me and tell me that you think that looks good. Other than that, I 120% agree with Jake. I'll admit it he was better than me when i first started. then again people need to learn to take critisism on their artwork its how people learn and get better. (propably spelt critisism wrong :cry: ) so everyone stop the spamming and the flamming on this thread give some thaught on how he can get better. Personaly I think its a good start. I suggest that you look at some artwork done in the past and sort of try to see how they blend and work well with their colors and linework. A great example is misterxman look for a post and look for his signature and click the link and browse through his work. try doing that and work on the blending and see how he uses his lines. also try zooming in it makes linework much much much more easier.
