July 24, 200619 yr What kind of movie would it be? I was listening to 'born dead' from BodyCount, and I imagined an entire film around it while listening to it. I saw 28 days later and Equilibrium yesterday, so I probably got my inspirtation from that; but a movie about terrorism taking gigantic proportions would be interesting. I think it may even be very realistic, since eastern Africa is a breading den for young terrorists, who get indoctinated by Al Quaeda recrutes. I once saw a documentary about it and there were hundreds of 10-16 year old boys training with kalashnikovs and reciting the Koran. That was of course all filmed in secret, but those images were very scary. So I started to wonder if it were possible to convince entire nations to rise against the western world and join the terrorists, and I'm afraid it is. The song born dead is about having no chances in life whatsoever, just because you're born in the wrong part of the world or because you're coloured. 90% of the Africans can be considered to be part of that group of people who are born dead. They have as good as nothing to lose and they're the ideal target soldiers for anti-western nations. If just a slight part of those Africans can be trained into suicide commandos, or just soldiers who don't fear death, I'm afraid this world will soon find itself in a massacre. If you also consider the nuclear weapons that many countries still have, we will soon have ourselves a war with proportions of the one proceeding the movie 'Equilibrium'. --- My movie would be about how it all started and why it was possible that so many people were convinced it was for the better to die in a Jihad than to keep living their miserable lives. Of course Born Dead would be the soundtrack, an agressive song, ideal for such a dark movie. Hardly a very original scipt, but it appeals a lot to me because it's so realistic. Pretty much a different version of 'cidade de deus'. So what would your movie look like? What would its soundtrack be like? July 24, 200619 yr ^^ Scary thoughts. If I was to direct a movie I think it would be a romantic drama set in modern war time. I haven't ever had time work out the fine points but the Lead guy would fall in love with a refugee he rescues, then finds out that they are going to withdraw and leave all the hostages behind to be killed as traitors. So he stays with the girl he fell in love with and hides out in the wild with her. Eventaully they get captured. I can't choose between a sad but realistic ending or a happy but stupid one. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
July 24, 200619 yr I'd like to direct a film through the 1st person perspective of a blind man, following a normal day. All you can see are the blurred blotches of things, which makes you pay attention to your other senses. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
July 24, 200619 yr Don't know, probably something not too complicating and easy but still entertaining in it's own way. You know, something that just happens, really nothing special to see, but just nice to have seen. And no score/soundtrack. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

July 24, 200619 yr i kept on thinking while watching Rasḫ̫̉̉mon that i could make a movie with some friends just like this. i dont have enough creativity in me to make up something new, so ill just do something old :P . be fun just to try. and off topic, i feel sorry for BenBru, by disregarding black and white movies he has eliminated some of the best films ever created.
July 25, 200619 yr I'd make one based off the Tomorrow Series. Essentially it'd be a war movie, but the kind that a lot of people could find themself relating to more than once :) Not too sure on the score, it'd have to something uniquely Australian. Perhaps along the lines of what was used in Gallipoli.

I'm not sure we have the tech for that just yet. :| I haven't really thought about this before. Off the top of my head, I think I'd probably do a story of a young man who came home from a war seriously disturbed by what he saw. The plot would surround his struggle with his former relationships etc. Not very original, but I think it could be quite interesting and incredibly powerful. All things considered, though, I'd much rather act than direct :P

I was born in 91 lol. I dont remember any-thing that was any good in Black and White. The only decent black and white movie I've seen was Clerks. And that still wasn't so good. Maybe my generation just doesnt have a thing for black and white movies. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it.
July 25, 200619 yr Here's a hint: _ _ _ _ And of course, the theme song would be 'Like a Virgin' by Madonna. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
July 25, 200619 yr I'd deffinitly make a post-apoctlyptic type movie. I've always liked that theme. I actualy came up with an idea for a movie while in a booring car ride. Kind of cool, because I bassicly had it change it's pace depending on what I was listening to on my iPod. Anyways, music score? A lot metal. However, I'd almost deffinitly start the movie off with: Burzum - Illa Tidandi. It's a very ambient piece, hell, the entire song (it's 10 minutes) is a piano. However, it sets the mood perfectly for what kind of place a world would be like (in my movie). I'd than instantly go to the fastest, heaviest song I could think of. My idea was a bit of an action film (that would greatly be influenced by music. I.E I would use music to realy get the mood going). But anyways, back onto the idea: The first song players (the one listed above). Durring this whole time the main character(s) are in a car, driving along the shattered roads and earth. The land is ravaged, torn and beaten. basicly said, it's like hell out there. Both of them are silent, almost like they are just... taking in all that is happening out there. Than they look out ahead. As the song is about to end they see some people with a roadblock up ahead. They know what it's for. Instantly, the main character gets out of the car, and the heavy music starts playing. Now, obviously it isn't detailed enough, but when It was going on in my mind it was pretty bad "wagon" :)
July 25, 200619 yr I'm not a kind of person who would direct movies, I rather watch others making one :P
July 25, 200619 yr For me that would be worse than watching movies in black and white. #-o Oh my word... I can now disregard your movie opinions in the future... This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Just focusing on things you hear lets your imagination really kick off. If a film like that ever does come out, I'd go see it. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
July 25, 200619 yr an action movie..... a lot of flippy camera's....like whenever someone gets punched in the face, the camera goes and to first person from the person being punched. its a million dollar concept! AND ITS MINE!! (runns to pattent office) Sigs made by Runemetsa, Nuzza, Dark_Shadow, Kuroi and Me.liquid blobs attacking eachother American Anime... YAY!

July 25, 200619 yr I would want to Direct a movie thats Very Criptic in details and you can never really find out the whole story if you watch it only once. those movies get my A+. Or a movie about an idea, IE The Sixth Sense had that, I cant remember any others at the moment but i know I would not want to make a movie unless that idea was just great. http://vashinred.googlepages.com/
July 27, 200619 yr Probably a fast paced action with a little bit of anime touch in there. You know how when the guys like "OMG Im SCROOOD!!!11" and then there comes this guy with a pet and a gun and the camera like mashes all around him but never centers and how the guys are standing there and battle ships fly over their head and they start running and pump up music gets louder and louder and it's in some foreign language like Hammerstein or w/e their band is called and you slowly hear a guitair go "BOW BOW BOW BOW DA DO DA BOW WOW" and they run and the camera shows them bashing through the guys. Yeah. I like that idea.
July 27, 200619 yr I've actually had this idea for a would-be movie and I've been playing with it for more than two years now. It's not structured, more like random scenes and such. Basic idea: two people meet and have a relationship in the period between the two world wars and in modern times. The pair will have to be played by the same actors. No explanation as to how this is possible, but none will be needed, as that is not the point. The setting moves back and forth from one period to another and it will be a nice contrast. That period was full of danger and insecurity compared to this period, which excels in boredom. And people of course behave differently as a result of that, which would make for some fun and maybe even dramatic moments if it's done right. The ending will have to be surprising but I haven't worked out yet how. :P "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."
July 27, 200619 yr id like to direct a film adaptation of 'Ender's Game' and the subsequent books. amazing books, and modern cinema would handle it easily Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
July 28, 200619 yr @BenBru-you'd be surprised at how black and white can enhance a movie *coughthegreatestgame* that movie is terrible, but when we were watching it in black and white(the vcr was broken-made for terrible previews lol) And I'd direct a movie that just seems to come together, filled with random events and impacts each character in their own special way. The way that each character comes in contacts with 75% of the others and centered around a big event, showing the both before and after. Oy- I could see that movie, and the way I envision it, it could be amazing
