____
A whole month, plenty of time to get writing standards compliant code down pat. Might even have enough time to play around with more than just the basic CSS. In all seriousness - The best way you can learn anything is to just surf the ineternet. If you see a site that you like the design of - check out the source. Open up any external files (javascript, css, etc) save to your computer and just change pieces of code here and there - see what it changes, etc. You learn quicker, you get to know the tricks faster, and all in all, it's more fun :P

zonda
It might have been the first fan site... but it has the same layout as every page ever on the internet. It has nothing to do with lacking creativifty, it's just made in an ogranized way that everyone will be able to clearly read and find what they are looking for... afterall thats the main goal of most websites. If stuff was randomly skewed about it would be a pain in the rear to find anything. ...

Which, may have been based off somebody elses website or not, i dont know, but i do See earpys Point there. I tend to look at source codes of websites randomly, just to see what they have going on and how well it is coded. Also intresting to see how tbey class their different styles and stuff (H) Yes, that is fun to me :P Current Goals80/80 Fletching60/75 Woodcutting97/100 Combat
jacnoc2
Well. If you have no prior HTML knowledge. Probably the easiest way is to use Yahoo! Geocities. (go to Yahoo! click 'Geocities' link) If you have access to upload to a server via FTP, then I suggest using a (free) program called Trellian Webpage. It does not require the use of HTML coding -- but I use it anyway. http://www.trellian.com/webpagepro Hope this helps. Judobreaker
Rofl, I did that for like 3 years, notepad is quite cool. However since I started doing SQL and php alot more I've downloaded a compiler. Works easier then notepad, I like it really much. It's called PHP Designer 2005, its free, you can download it at downloads.com I really recommend this program if you're trying to get into building websites. Most sites use paid hosting and make their sites properly rather than setting up with a crappy free host. Thats why almost all sites hosted on a free host fail, because if the site owend doesnt really care about their site then why should the visitors to it?
