Okay, to begin this is a story with both good and bad... but thankfully has a happy ending.

 

 

 

It all began when I saw a forum user on Tip.It who was looking to use someone's crafting table. Mithril26. I was feeling good that day, so I said "meet me at the Taverly house portal". I met Mithril there and we found I had the wrong table! So Mithril got me the materials and I built it. He had wanted to make a watch (the treasure trail watch) and couldn't. So I told him to follow me and we went around and got him the required items for treasure trails. I also taught him how to get five of each. After getting the chart, we went our seperate ways. Mithril asked me to add him. I figured, hey why not; make a new friend. Mithril is a very polite and well-mannered person.

 

 

 

A while later, Mithril wanted a banner. So I said "sure, I'll make a banner easel, will you help me get 63 construction?" (yes I know it's 66... gilded cup is +3 levels though) I got the money for the planking, Mithril cut me the logs and helped me plank them as well as train construction. After a few hours of work, Mithril got his banner, and was happy as anything. He still holds the same one today. :)

 

 

 

A few days ago he asked me how to make some good money. So I said "well, killing dragons is very good money". Mithril wasn't too sure. "Dragons?! But they're in the wilderness; I might die!" I said, "don't worry, I know a way to kill them without food or going into the wilderness." So I teleported to Lleyta and walked over to Tyras Camp. I bought a rune halberd for Mithril, then brought it to him in Falador along with some super attacks and anti-poisons. Then I led him into Taverly dungeon and showed him the key and the dragons... and how halberds were one of the most useful things in RuneScape.

 

 

 

Since then we've become good friends, and helped each other a lot. But that's not the end...

 

 

 

Today I was going on a Dagannoth kings trip with my clan. It went well, I survived one round. Then one of my clan mates got killed. Another member and I tried to recover her stuff, and he got killed as well. Fortunately our leader recovered the rest of the items I was unable to grab. Anyways, back a few seconds: just before my second clan mate died, I got KOed, so I teleported to safety with my trusty Ectohphial. Phew! But then poison hit a 6. "Oh no!" I thought, and ran towards bank. I had 18 HP left, and put on ring of life to save myself (I had no food or anti-poison). Poison hit again, 12 HP. I smacked myself. Poison won't go away by using a ring of life! I landed in Falador (another 6, 6 HP left), and ran north to that bank. Just south of the bar, BAM. Poison hits... but I wasn't dead. Thankfully it was only a 5, leaving me with 1 HP. I logged out immediately. I froze: who was I going to contact? I couldn't log into RuneScape or I would get hit. And I didn't have a secondary account. But then I realized I had Mithril26 on AIM! So I told him what happened, and he agreed to come save me. He found a world with less people, and waited until it was clear. "GO!" he shouted, and I logged in and traded him as fast as I could. I clicked the anti-poison as soon as the trade was complete... and was cured. I was saved. 1 HP, lots of valuable items on me (ok, maybe not THAT valuable but if I had died and someone besides Mithril has grabbed anything I could have lost a few hundred thou). After I clicked the anti-poison I realized something: I had a Saradomin Brew(3) that my mate dropped when he died all along! But I would not have realized until too late.

 

 

 

Mithril is a hero. If he ever falls into peril, I will do the same for him. I hope you enjoyed the story, and give Mithril some kind words if you see him in game.

 

 

 

About the no-naming-names rule: Mithril26 said I could name him in the story, so no worries :).

Back on-topic: Those kinds of RS friends are hard to come by. Altho a clan helps, sometimes. :|

just saying, if you teled into fally using ring of life and then died, you would come back right on top of your stuff.

I have a friend like that. One day i was killing daggs for slayer, and i pushed "back" instead of "File". I had 3 daggs on me with auto retaliate. I was freaking out because i had a whip/d2h(not mine)/d sq/d med. It wouldnt let me back in because i still had 2 daggs on me, the small ones, i killed 1 i was originally attacking. I call my friend on his cell phone, went to high school with him, and he goes and gets the daggs off me. And there was 2 other guys there just waiting for me 2 die :roll:
