So I'm a pretty big fan of emo music. My 2 top favorite bands are Panic! At the Disco and Fall Out Boy. My favorite songs at the moment are Dance, Dance and I Write Sins Not Tragedies.

Can't 2... or 4 dudes make-out with each other without being g*y? I mean, chicks dig that kind of thing anyways. I don't know diary, sometimes I think you're the only one that gets me, you're my best friend...

misfits = ace, i like alot of bands but generally stay away from the whole "emp" thing, im more into ozzy, metallica and acdc, although i like alot of metal stuff too, im talking a7x, COB and trivium [abit]. course abit of ace seventies disco dance groove cant hurt...can it?

The bands you suggested are typical Pop punk bands. Much like Blink 182. Just because they're songs aren't usually happy doesn't make them emo.

 

 

 

Bands which are "emo" are bands like Hawthorne Heights. i wish I could name more but I don't dwell in that genre much. I much prefer Hardcore Punk bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan

Yeah, exactly. I don't think it's possible to make a topic with anything to do with the word 'emo' without it turning into an arguement.

 

 

 

In all seriousness, I argue that there is even a genre that is emo, all music has some emotion. It's just a stereotype. Hawthorne Heights

 

pushes it though...

 

 

 

But more on topic, I don't like any 'emo' music. Closest to emo; for lack of a better word, that I like is.. erm, Dallas Green?

Fall Out Boy is pretty good. I like Dance, Dance a lot. Uhh, Panic! At the Disco is okay. The only song I like of theirs is I Write Sins, Not Tragedies. Emo music is just okay IMO.

real emo music is like grunge/suicidial. nirvana (great band) has some emo lyrics in its songs. real emo music is okay sometimes, but too much of it is annoying. but i cant stand fall out boy/panic at the disco. there just downright annoying with their terrible/repetitive lyrics, and half thier songs use the same tune.

the main reason i dont like emo people is because 95% of them are posers. go look on (you know what). right now its trendy to grow your hair long/dye it black/wear tight clothes, and have an emo (you know what) where im from. it magically makes them "hot" because we cant see half their face. also become goofy and girly and not depressed whatsoever in real life, and *bam* your emo.

I have a friend who on 6/6/06, dressed emo, he got asked our 12 times, on that one day, just cuz hes emo. my friend came up with an analogy for why girls are attracted to emo guys.... but I cannot post it here.... I dont feel like being banned :-#
