Viktorkrum77
The proper term for it would be 'Archery'. I can't even find the word 'Ranged' in any dictionary. A range is somewhere where you practice archery. It's just always bothered me. Discuss Me doing staff.

Guest mikeyj6192
hey what you got against the brittish! Um ill just correct you its actually called "Ranged" so this probably means Ranged combat, or combat from a distance
mikeb912
Um ill just correct you its actually called "Ranged" so this probably means Ranged combat, or combat from a distance Ya I agree. You're attacking from a range of (x) amount of yards so you are ranging. (Please feel free to insert any number you want to as the x)

We can't exactly say "my arched combat" without feeling like OAPs. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Pinkbullet3
"My ranged level is 68." "My arched level is 68." "My archery level is 68." "My skill where you shoot arrows is level 68." "68 is my arrow shooting skill level." :-k I get annoyed when people ask, "What's your mage level?" I thought "mage" was a some type of person... It would just be lovely if people could ask what my magic level was. ^ Blog.

Viktorkrum77
Then again, I do believe that the proper term for magic would be sorcery. 'What's your sorcery level?' 'What's your archery level?' 'I'm an archer.' 'I'm an sorcerer.' Me doing staff.

Giordano
Who made the word mage? Never heard of it until I played RuneScape. :anxious: "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." lagatag
You are attacking from a distance or range. Also cannons wouldn't fall under archery, and then peopel would be complainging about that. Ranged seems fitting to me as attacking from a distance by physical means.
psudomorph
Archery only applies to bow/arrows/crossbows doesnt it? Ranged includes knives, cannons, darts, and who knows what could eventually be added. IMHO archery would be far too limited a description. If you dont take steps to ensure that you're protected, you void all right to complain when stuff goes wrong.Join the petition for a new bank page layout! Severation
Archery is normally associated with a bow and arrow. Where the archery in RS includes knives, darts etc. EDIT~ Basically what the guy above said.

tru_vampire0
i dont think calling it your archery level covers it all. Archery pretty much mean arrows and bows/ bolts and crossbows In Rs its called ranged because your shooting over a range or distance but not with just archery, but cannons, darts, throwing knives, etc.. Sharane
Your argument would be true, if it weren't for the fact that these weapons also make part of the ranged skill: Crossbows and Bolts, Darts, Javelins, Throwing Axes, Chakra, Throwing Knives, The Dwarf Multicannon. A "ranger" using any of the above is definetly not an archer. "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin.
