Ok then.

- very little shading.

- Characters look as if they are flat, they have no depth at all

- An actual person's head is not a round circle, contrary to what you think.

- The grass is a blinding green. I mean, I think if I looked at it too long it would blind me. Tone it down a lot. The shading in it is fairly decent, but can't see it through the blindness.

- The sky is also very, plain. It's a blue rectangle, not a sky. The horizon is incredibly straight, fix that.

- The way he has his shield, looks realy odd.

overall:

- Lineart. They don't look like people, at all.

- Shading. Half of the sig isn't even shaded.

- Lineart.

- Bit more lineart.

- Add a boarder.

- work on the coloration too. No more blinding green.

Took the words out of my mouth.

CC - Must shade it better, specially the people - 2 colours

Would be 6/10 - Because it's not terrible - Better than your other works. But you said it took you 2.30 HOURS!?!?!?!

Final score 5/10 ~ Keep practicing!

i will say it again, make sure that you can actually draw on PAPER before you consider shifting anything to your computer. No offense, it is evidend that you have put effort into this peice, but your people are not looking like human beings. I suggest that you look up some sites, or better still, borrow a book on anatomy or drawing humans. Getting the proportions and muscle shaping is all that you need to make your artworks more sucessfull. Using a spray can on the sky and floor is also a big no-no. Depth perception is another important ingredient in a quality sig. Proper shading, whether it is dithering or standard shading, helps bring the picture to life, making it more realistic.

I hope that you take this on board, and actually attempt to improve, rather than other people who just want attention. I suggest that you look at Terley's pixeling tutorial for beginners (found in the sticky at the top of this page), it will help you alot.

Goodluck with your sig making,

Remoteman.

Use your imagination on how to draw people, watch cartoon shows and see how they draw them (anime anime anime.. :D :D :D) or look how other pixel artists drew them. You can learn a lot from just looking at others signatures.

Honestly, i don't think you've taken in much or any of the CC everybody's provided in the past... *sigh* (Please prove me wrong..)

i will say it again, make sure that you can actually draw on PAPER before you consider shifting anything to your computer.I stink at that atm.

then you will be 10x worse on the computer. i suggest you heavily practice on paper first, it will save you from the insults/flames/being laughed at etc.

Thread cleaned again.

There are no more warnings.

The rules are plain and violations are being dealt with accordingly.

It seems that some people have forgotten what it felt like to be flamed when they started out right Nadril? I recall folks standing up for you when you were getting flamed to pieces... how can you turn around and treat others the same way you did not want to be treated? I expected a lot more from you.

Neishc I would not make fun of someone else when I am just starting out. You may think that jumping on the bandwagon will gain you more respect on the forum but the only way to earn respect is by treating others the same and by proving yourself through your skills.

This forum should be about helping others not making yourself look better by putting others down. If you have nothing positive or helpful to say the rules are simple, say nothing at all.

We do not need folks that derive pleasure by creating an unfriendly environment on our forums. Everyone is welcome to stay and everyone is welcome to post their creations, be it a person starting out or a fine artist.

Replied to you in PM.

@ Noobish: I should have clarified. If you realy want to get better, just start drawing what you see. In school, for example, when you don't have any work, just sit there and draw. Look at something , anything, and draw it.

As you progress try and chose harder stuff. For example, start by drawing the teachers desk maybe. Than expand to the whole room based off of your viewpoint. It doesn't have to be clean, and rather it's a sketch. What it's doing though is giving you an idea on the human anatomy, perspective, the whole 9 yards.

This is the only way you will realy get better, is practice. I realize that me and jacob came off as harsh, but the answer realy isn't simple. You see, there realy isn't any "magical trick" you can do to draw better. You don't simply one day become good.

So practice, practice, practice. It doesn't have to be much as I said, but I promise you if you just start (even tonight) by grabbing a sheet of paper, a pencil or pen, and drawing the first thing on your mind you will be getting better.

Also, pay attention to details. It's the smallest of details in a piece that can bring it together. The scuff marks on a desk or the wrinkles in an old mans face, everything brings together a piece to make it seem more realistic.

I know your only 10, but I do think that if you put your mind to it, you can do it. It might seem hard but I was where you were when I was younger and drawing. I simply just kept drawing what I saw. Mostly it was images in magazines (cartoon characters, video game characters) and over time I did get better.

Best of luck,

~Nadril
