August 17, 200619 yr ok, reading my daily desktop garfield comic, I noticed something right away: (for copyright reasons I cannot show the whole comic, but since I may be breaking some rules for all i know anyway, you can go to garfield.com and... do whatever lol) ok, now onto the topic, is bologna really spelled like that in other states, or has John missed all of those Oscar Meyer comercials. :-s -------------------- The above stuff has been solved (boloney is bologna sausage). We are now onto the topic of ... well, mis-spellings which lead to us asking a guy by the name of Jim Davies (http://www.jimdavies.org/)if he is a Garfield fan.
August 17, 200619 yr Baloney is just another name for Bologna sausage :uhh: Edit: And to answer the question, apparently yes.
August 17, 200619 yr What the hell is Bologna? Is it something like bolognaise or lasagna? I tried googling it and couldn't find anything. *sighs* Just saw darkricks post.
August 17, 200619 yr Bologna is a city in Italy its also compressed meat stuff, www.PETAkillsanimals.com
August 17, 200619 yr Bologna sausage is an American version of the Italian mortadella (a finely hashed/ground pork sausage with lard pieces). The American version can alternatively be made out of chicken, turkey, beef, pork, or soybeans. It is commonly called bologna and often pronounced and/or spelled baloney (or boloney). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bologna_sausage
August 17, 200619 yr What the hell is Bologna? Is it something like bolognaise or lasagna? I tried googling it and couldn't find anything. *sighs* Just saw darkricks post. A disgusting mash of different meat and fat. It's pretty good though, oddly. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
August 17, 200619 yr so john was referring to bologna sausage? Yes and that it had gone bad, because it was in the fridge too long.
August 17, 200619 yr The guy who wrote the comic. I love garfield :3> I believe his name his spelt Jim Davis.
August 17, 200619 yr Jim Davies is a Cognitive Scientist and Bioinformist. That doesn't mean he doesn't like Garfield. :notalk:
August 17, 200619 yr That doesn't mean he doesn't like Garfield. :notalk: I just found it interesting that you misspelled Jim Davis' name in a topic questioning wheather or not Jim Davis misspelled balogna.
August 17, 200619 yr I just found it interesting that you misspelled Jim Davis' name in a topic questioning wheather or not Jim Davis misspelled balogna. What can I say? I'm English.

August 18, 200619 yr That doesn't mean he doesn't like Garfield. :notalk: On a forum I frequently visit there was a topic about the Garfield comic strip, in which someone mistook "Jim Davis" as "Jim Davies". Another poster cunningly decided to ask who Jim Davies was, so I searched on google and your website was the first result. I posted it, and the poster who answered "Jim Davies" (in response to the question, "who likes Garfield") replied that you could in fact like Garfield, and thus his answer would be correct. So the question is, do you like Garfield? once i get the reply, we shall see :D
August 18, 200619 yr once i get the reply, we shall see :D rofl.. i need to look up on this guy and see what he does, we could introduce a new tip.it/runescape/garfield addict for all we know, aren't we great people
August 18, 200619 yr Yes is the short answer, but as long answers go I'd give it a 6 out of ten for daily comic strips. Once I knew this bratty girl who thought I was Jim Davis, and I told her what was going to be in Garfield the next monday (I made it up-- Garfield gets out of bed, hits himself on the head with his bed and says "I hate mondays") and then drew her a signed picture of Garfield. (I'm a moderately competent cartoonist) I would not have lied to her if she hadn't been such a brat. JimDavies heh, this guy is awesome :D .
