does anyone else get slightly annoyed by this?

this is not a rant, if it was id just go on for a whole page complaining.

im just wondering if people get annoyed jagex takes their sweet time(oh and it is sweet when they do bring it.) when it comes to quest squels

devious minds, is a quest serious only 1 part has been played out.

the elven/biohazard story line has been here since, i guess mid classic era? and its still not really finished.

fairy tale's perhaps 1 of the fastest quest series ive seen play out yet, but they still could hold out a year to it...

cooks assistant and recipe, not really sequels it my opinion, but definately related.

does any1 else patiently wait for sequels as i do? but hope jagex does not forget about them.

because on boring days, such as this(i am fishing..) i wonder if they will ever finish quest lines, such as the "rise of the red axe" series.

I dont really get annoyed, but to play to the interests of majority of the rs population, they stick with what they want (the polls and such said the majority wanted minigames, and we got plenty of them).

All you can really do it vote on the polls and wait.

If you put it that away, yes i am slightly dissapointed. Im sure we wont see the sequle to the red dwarf series for a while. Mainly because most of the rs population hates quests. To most people, having over 200 qp is alot. Im slightly over 200 and i may do a quest a week, even if that.

I just did the quest for the bear hood at 106 combat #-o

Try and grow a few patience levels. It's called "suspense."

Anyways, Jagex doesn't have to focus all of it's work on finishing up sequels lol, now do they? I'd rather have additions to skills and different quest new and mini-games than having my weekly update be "yet another pointless sequel to another yet another quest chain (which I know you would be saying if nearly every update was a continuation of a quest :-w ."

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

i know what you mean, however really most items that i see that have a use are now obtained in quest like ways or rarely, guilds.

warriors guild, not like a quest but tedious like 1 can be. what u get? a rune defender.

its just the addition to skills are always, disappointing or mean nothing to me.

new crossbow's okay, decent. but i cant smith the bolts. but it didnt really effect me.

what does effect me is, ancient/lunar magic. all goten from quest.

dragon scimmy dagger longsword mace and baxe, all gotten from quests.

and lets not forget the new gloves, i love those.

it seems lately they basically introduce items via, quests. rare drops from low monster or semi-rare drops from hard monster.

the new prayers wont be quest based. im almost 100% certain.

but just think if they didnt have all these quest, even rsc wouldnt be what it is.

but yes id love to see additions to the game aswell but they are never really worth it, because jagex doesnt update certain areas of the game.

id love to see what dhide for 80-85 rangers.

id love to see 80-90 requirement armors and weapons.

id love to really see extended lvls over lvl 99

Quests are what keep the game from getting boring.

Most of the minigames suck. castle wars is ok, I don't see how anyone can play Pest Control for hours; I think it is the most boring thing in rs.

Rune defender and the barrows gloves rule .

Lunar spells are useful for skillers.

If it wasn't for quests no one would be able to rc laws or deaths. Maybe bloods or souls are next?

I was a little disappointed with the latest gnome quest, rather annoying little puzzle for such a short quest. ALthough the exp was rather good.

I only have both Mourner's parts to finish, and the only reason they aren't done is that I am trying to get all of my skills to at least 60.

I can't wait for each new quest, the first thing I do on Monday/Tuesday mornings is check the front page for new stuff hoping for a new quest.

Quests rule.

Eh, I guess the only reason I disagree with you is because I hate quests  .

i love quests. I have completed them all :) I would love to see a sequel to rise of the red axe or the elven story lines. I enjoyed the most recent quest - I cant wait for a sequel to that too. I guess that I'll just have to wait and see what we get next...

I really do think they open more 'doors' than close. Most quests they don't leave you with much closure. They do this annoying (to us) thing for a few reasons. One is to give them plenty of creative space to continue lines of quests. The other is to keep us players paying for membership. They assume there's at least one quest story line we love, so as long as they keep us waiting for a sequel, they keep paying customers. Annoying, yes, but it's good business for them.

It takes time, you know, to create a whole new quest, especially when it's a sequel. They have something to live up to. First the story/plot has to be thought up, then all the environments built, and then all the new items. Then they have to make sure any new stuff won't be too powerful and fits in with the current game. This isn't a criticism, more an observation.

I would like to see more of the quest sequels but meh I guess it's kind of good they keep us anticipating it and ready and waiting for it for quite some time before they release it. Sometimes I just think they take TOO long to release the sequel.

yes i understand and you are correct, but they way they be popping out the fairy tale story lines lately, it makes me wonder if they purposely put a years worth of distance. i mean i know they do but are they like, lets wait at least a year before we plan the sequel and take another year to make the quest completely thought out

ah, best point ever made. but i would still play(and pay) if their were no quests. but yea i never considered it because theirs too much of this game to not be a member because quests are finished/ never started

Yes I get annoyed when they bring out quests that are to be a series and they never release anymore for the series. And then they always bring out more quest series starters.

I want the elven quest series to be finished off especialy.

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
