Just like the title said, I'm somewhat a published author! Our teacher made us write a poem and short story that was sent into a book/magazine type thing and BOTH of mine were used!!! I have always wanted to an author, and now I kind of am.

 

 

 

For all of you that are wanting to know, I should be recieving the thing I got published in soon. When I do, I will post the stories I wrote if I feel like it. (They're kind of long.) I'm going to go ahead and quote the titles, though.

Well....Wow! Amazing! That's really cool...I've always wanted to be an author. My tutor, Chris, who had some of his own work published, says magazines and competitions are the best way to becoming a real writer. Unless I've got my facts wrong, E. Nesbit, Brian Jacques and Gillian Cross all started out like that.

When I was in like grade 6 my teacher made the class all write short storys and they were submitted to this book, and then the best short storys were picked and were added to the book. It was like a book of all short storys from kids, the name was like, Unicorns and UFO's or something like that, oh yeah, my story was one of the ones picked. :)

i reckon being an author would be pretty cool, makin up stuff

 

at school wen we right short stories i always have to cut down mine coz they get too long but it stuffs up coz if i do the long version itll be like 15 pages but if i cut it down i gotta cut out heaps for it to make sense so its be like 4 pages if i tried to right a book, like a novel it would get no where near 100 pages so if i ever rote a book itd be like 40 pages lol

My story is still being waited upon to be checked if it can be published. I got so bored, when I was grounded, I wrote a 30 chapter book on a zombie attack. I love zombies :wink:. My mom read it and thought it was really good. She sent it in, but before I could change the title. I don't really like the title, once I finished the book #-o. It's called "The New Beginning". I just don't like it. So, if any of you pick up a book called "The New Beginning; By [Please do not share rl information on this forum ~Alduron]", then read it ;)

Wow, congrats! The only time I've ever been published was in the school newpaper (sad, but true) for a long and fiery rant about the school mascot, a chameleon. I said that chameleons represent conformity, which ultimately stood for Naziism. I also said that a dyslexic toddler could've done a better job of picking a mascot.

 

 

 

Anyway, the point is, you're yet another person who is better than me.
