or, instead of haveing to build your own, you can purchase kits which include a feature that lets you set it up.

I play Silkroad now and then, and I find thier stall system helps a TON for chat spamming. in RS, I go to a bank, and I get my box filled with "buying/selling x, blah blah GP", but in silkroad, I jsut see a bunch of stalls with titles above them.

and possibly, the "trade x" option could become "use stall x" when a stall is set up.

I don't think that will work. You would have hundreds if not thousands of stalls on one of these worlds. Some people might advertise just one item making it a hassle to go look at a stall just to see one item. And it would be difficult to check every stall for just one item that you are looking for. If you really want this type of thing it will require alot of revisions.

Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.

will you please read my points and say something about it? I'm trying to say that i think this is pointless in that its the SAME EXACT THING as the forums. Instead of having to search for endless buyers, you jsut search for what ur looking for, and it'll appear! wait-a-second....there's something like that already...that's right. you're posting on one.

Yeah, sounds like a great idea. Kinda like a general store, but you can only sell. You have your own attendent. You set your own prices. People can place offers. Looks like a good idea..

But...

I think it'd make the game too much like macroing. Everything would be done for you.

I'm kinda mixed 50/50 between this idea. I've seen it brought up many a times before. I always get persuaded. So anybody, would you like to make me 100/0?

Not necisarrily macroing becuase you would have to pay a fee to have a shop, so there is a price for having it. Even if it is macroing theres a cost to do it, unlike normal macroing where people just profit from cheating

If at first you dont suceed, then you fail.

Good idea. You should do something like the portals in rimmington, yanille, ect. except a different color, and you say, "Sale at (blah blah)'s stall!" and they will go and buy stuff. I get it now! Best idea ive seen since my Monks Hood!

I got a idear  you know how there are stalls in cities all ready well you would right click on the stall(s) and it would bring up 3 options 'rent stall' '(what is says to look at a general store quick)' and 'examine' when you clicked on rent stall a picture would come up in the chat box(like when you talk to people) saying something like (renting stall costs (an amount) of coins' then you click 'continue' 'do you wish to rent the stall for (an amount)?' options yes/no yes brings up a box that (like a bank) you put a item in and set a price. when people come up and look at the stall they have 100 people selling things (per stall) they click on one of the 10 and it brings up a general store looking like window but with prices next to items. when people rent a stall they can walk away from it for ever once your time (money) has ran out it put in the money and/or items left in thestall that were not sold into your bank.

imite make a pictures but this is your idear so i would kinda of be stelling it so i won't.

off topic: rate my idear 1-10

I was thinking that maybe, instead of stalls, wherever there's a bank in a city, there would be a sort of "Trading Building" in that city too.

What you would do, say, if you wanted to sell 100 lobsters for 30k, is this:

You would walk into the Trading Organizaton or whatever it's called (can't decide on a name), right click the receptionist, and there would be 3 options

-Buy item

-Sell item

-Claim item

You would obviously hit sell item, then you would click Sell X lobsters (in your inventory), and type in 100.

Then you would be asked to set a price, so you'd type in 30000.

Then someone comes a long a little later and wants to buy some lobsters.

They hit "Buy item" and they'd look for deals on lobsters (maybe have categories like that new bank thing like "food" "weapons" "armor" "bows" "arrows" or a search-like thing and you'd type in "Lobster") :-k Then he'd see your deal on lobbies for 30000, and he clicks "Trade" then maybe have like a screen up saying "Trade 30k Coins for 100 lobsters?" (for security). He'd say yes, and you'd get a message, "You have recieved 30k Coins for 100 lobsters", and when you went to this Trade Center, you'd hit "claim item" and you'd get your 30k.

I would have to say the deals would be ordered oldest first, and newest last, so that as time goes on, newer deals eventually get sifted to the top, and are therefore more likely to get noticed.

Pros

-Speeds up trading of common items (lobbies, armor/weap sets) considerably

-Lets someone be free to do something else while they're still finding a deal.

-You can't get ripped off.

Cons

-This would not work for less common items such as tallys which are rarely traded. Maybe somehow we could fix this :-k

Critisism welcome.

yeah i like that idea 2, as far as the tally thing goes just becuase people are selling stuff there dosent mean they still cant do it at the bank, i just sugggested this to alieviate some of the traffic at the bank

If at first you dont suceed, then you fail.

Just what I was thinking too

Trading needs to be less chaotic, condensed down to a single automated building.

Edit: Well, semi-automated.
