September 14, 200619 yr Nintendo fans finally have a price and release date for the company's new generation console, Wii. The Big N is set to officially announce that the system will hit retail in North and South America for $250 on November 19. What you'll get with the system is as follows: 1 Wii 1 Wii controller strap 1 Nunchuck controller 1 AC adaptor 1 AV cable 1 stand 1 support plate (dunno what this is) 1 sensor bar 1 sensor bar stand 2x battery (AA) And the Wii's that are shipping to America get WiiSports bundled in with it. Now for an Australian release date... Source: IGN
September 14, 200619 yr awsome! I'll probaly end up trying to get one for christmas. I'd think that I might try and find something where I could hook my PC and my Wii to my monitor... Bah I don't know realy, but sweet. Nov 19... 8-) and $250, awsome.
September 14, 200619 yr Author And Wii Sports thrown in too, even awesomer. Know whats funny? Japan arent getting it till 2nd December. You lucky, lucky Americans.
September 14, 200619 yr 250 for that thing? i thought the only reason anyone was gonna buy something so crappy was because of a low price tag but id rather go with an xbox for like 100 bucks more and thats saying something :ohnoes: :uhh: 485th person to ever play RuneScapeBlue107- perm banned 10/12/2007. $300 USD reward if you can get me in contact with someone who will take 5 seconds to look at evidence and get my original character unbanned.
September 14, 200619 yr Thats awesome, but I'll probably only be able to play wii sports for a while, since I need to aquire more spending money. I still need to play my ps2 games and ds games. :|
September 14, 200619 yr I will say that $250 is a smidge more than I'd hoped they'd be, but I think it's definitely still worth it, and odds are the price will come down by this spring or next summer at least. I'll be very interested to see pricing on accessories, especially extra controllers, and whether or not they come with nunchucks and straps.
September 14, 200619 yr Author Extra controllers shouldnt be that much more than what extra current gen controllers cost and they will probably come with a strap considering the one you get with the console has one as well.
September 14, 200619 yr Jesus.. A: It comes with Opera. Take that, Firefox Fanboys. B: I just finished watching some of the videos. Holy crap. Just.. holy crap. Granted, it was just some random software things, and you have to guess a little at how they're controlling it, but it fully stands up to the expectations of being a revolutionary control structure, at least from what I can guess at watching the movements on-screen.
September 14, 200619 yr I need an Australian release date and price, really want one for xmas so they better have it out before then..I'm still waiting for my pre ordered KH2 :wall:. Ordered it in May and yeah..still not here :?
September 14, 200619 yr no Euro release date, which is a bit worrying. If Nintendo pull a Sony they can get screwed. www.PETAkillsanimals.com

I was reading about it not 2hours ago and a lot of sites were pulling reference to the NTY article till the confrence was over and they knew for certain what was covered with the $250 price tag. There were rumors of it coming with an SD Card (with Super Mario World and Duck Hunt), Sports Suite and some other stuff :-k
September 14, 200619 yr Author Give it time, there is still a European and American Event to come. The one today was just the Japanese one. Times for the European and American events are here. Vooks.net is expecting the Australian dates to be released at one of these events, and hopefully it will be. [/shameless plug
September 14, 200619 yr I'd get it, but I'm saving. That's a pretty good deal though, especially since it comes bundled with a game (that would probably retail for 30-50 dollars by itself).

September 14, 200619 yr This is disappointing. They also pushed back the release date of Metroid Prime 3. :?
September 14, 200619 yr This kicks me hiney! Get in! This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
September 14, 200619 yr I'm actually happy about the later release date in Aus and other countries. Can't wait! :P
September 14, 200619 yr awesome. i was expecting a $199 price tag, but i would still buy it if it had a $299 price tag. spent about two hours last night refreshing all these different websites that had info over the press conference, turns out they were all copying each other and the original site was getting info from a june press conference they thought was last night  . pissed me off last night, since i wasted all that time, but its funny now :D .
September 14, 200619 yr cool. I have to see it and play it first though. =p Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!
September 14, 200619 yr so has a european release date been anounced? nah not until tommorow or saturday i really hope that like you said they dont "pull a sony" that would really annoy me and if they did i would 100% buy a 360 (gonna eventually get one anyway, Dead Rising ftw) but that'll only be if like its not out until March, andything before or just after Christmas is fine by me! should have a part time job by then, and b-day in Novemeber, phree money pl0x!!! Sig by me....
September 15, 200619 yr European launch not until March. There must be something going on socio-economically or something. It's not like Nintendo to be this shoddy in production, is it?
