Casual gamers suck

Yeah i know i'll probably draw flak from this but 99% of casual gamers move on because they don't want to take the time to get over the learning curve. The main reason why yahoo pogo and miniclip have gotten so big with games is because the games are so flameing simple that the casual gamer doesn't have to think while playing. Hell, i played the one of the featured miniclip one day for like 10 minutes and got within the top 20 for that day. (Was just takeing my lil bro on the computer, i hate mini-clip)

Casual gamers ruin games by making them so daggon simple that I can't get any satisfaction from them. Oh, yeah! I'm on the 10th level... Hmm took me three minutes to get here... great just freaking great <.< :-s

New sigzor^^

I was just on counter-strike and I just got paired with an all girl team. However we totally creamed the opposing team so I think were pretty much equal on games like these.

Yeah i agree with some of what you said. My parents sometimes play solitaire or freecell . I find it amazing that they can enjoy those games when there are better games to be played. But thats up to them, if you like it play it.

I was under the impression that the latest research said that women accounted for a third of all gamers no where near the "more than men" figure the original poster claims

No, he said that male gamers still outnumber women gamers 2:1 - which would make women being made up of a third of all gamers. The study shows that although male gamers outnumber men, women outnumber men specifically in online games - which include "gaming" sites like Pogo.com.

It surveyed 2,200 people out of the hundreds of millions that play, not a big enough survey to draw any conclusions from. It could show they handed out surveys to 1500 women and 700 men... or in a area where alot of woman play online games when the kids are in school. 2,200 people is not a big enough survey to draw any conclusive evidence.

hahah I can relate to that. My sister was playing some game on cartoonnetwork, after a few days she got near the top of the world highscores. So i decided to try the game out and tripled the score of the #1 player in a single try :XD:

maple story is a popular game to most women that play rpg

First off, if the survey is from a wide enough variety of people that is enough people to draw conclusive results from.

Second off, in order ot make the assertion that you are making, those conducting the survey would need an agenda. What does the survey gain from presenting us with falsified information? Why would any respectable group conducting a survey purposely mislead us like that? Your assertion isn't just that they are conducting a bias source, your assertion suggest they are rigging the entire outcome. In order for you to make that claim - you need to give us a reason they would have for doing that.

Since when did Runescape require any semblance of intelligent thought?

Women outnumber men playing games online because

women sit at their desk and play solitaire and bounce out and such when they should be doing their job

they play the free flash games

The main reason why yahoo pogo and miniclip have gotten so big with games is because the games are so flameing simple that the casual gamer doesn't have to think while playing.

Simple? Come to pogo and play a round of Spades with me and then tell me it's simple. My name on there is MYMACOWNS if you feel like playing a simple game.

This proves just one thing...

Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992.

Supermonk rocks, I want to have his children.

Music is like candy. You always get rid of the rapper.

And what if that is their life? Graphic artists sit at computers all day too, and look how much they make.

I don't think Naz was talking about Runescape.. That's become more of a game for casual gamers since they made it so simple. Though, back in the day you actually had to think when doing quests because you didn't have that nifty little book that told you what to do.. And if you didn't go find a guide..
