So I just finished my 30th attempt, 20 of them I have gotten to Jad :evil: . You would think by now I could get the healer distraction, potting, prayer switching down, but alas... no... :oops:

man, ouch, sorry about the bad luck you've hit there. I might have given you some competition, but after my 7th attempt (6 to the jad), I realized I wasn't having any fun with it and gave up.

 

 

 

But as long as you enjoy the whole thing, keep at it and good luck.

As for money it doesn't cost me to much as i can make supers and pray pots, Crystal bow and guthans repair is bout it.

 

 

 

I get xp for it, I would be training range and att. anyways so doing it isn't to big a deal.

c: Teleblock does wear off after you die

 

d: As a whatever level you are, shouldn't you be more wise of the game?

 

 

 

Also, if you didn't just get the Fire Cape purely for it's bonuses, you would actually realise how prized it is (as you are beating the toughest beast in the whole game.[Chaos Elemental and Dagannoth Rex have a higher H.P.])

You may actually be better off melee'ing the whole caves with those stats. Guthan's is also one of those most unreliable forms of healing for the caves, use a battle-ring and any boots that can give an offense bonus.

you probaly hold the record in most 'serious' attempts at the fire cape, but dont worry you will get it 1 day :D

maybe goto youtube and watch the vids of people fighting jad on there, it helps abit, looking at different people's strategies, even the vids of people losing help abit.

no matter what, its harder with melee than range because you have to use 3 prayers instead of 2, and you have to get to the exact right distance from the level 360s. and if hes getting to jad with enough supplies, no reason to change what he uses. also, just because someone has the stats to get the fire cape, doesnt mean they automatically get it, there is lots of lvl 120+ and even some 126s without fire capes.

i've 27 times, but never got one.

 

 

 

Made it to Jad about 15 times or so.

uh oh that stinks im going for 1 soon im 100K off 82 range and im 52 pray gettin 55 pray first im using muggis guide at 90 cb:) but wew that really stinks :-w

I've gotten to Jad 5 attempts out of 5. Every time I die within like 30 seconds. I just can't switch prayers fast enough. It seems like fire cape is more a test of reflexes than endurance - the whole caves up to Jad is easy. Then after that you have to be perfect else it will be all over in 5 seconds. How fair is that to those high levels that either have a laggy computer or are naturally born with slow reflexes? Not fair at ALL.

 

 

 

But yeah, you definatly take the cake. Good luck in the future. I sure hope I get it without having to go thorugh all of that.

OK I was nice enough to change the title for you all. But geesh could you lighten up just a little bit.

 

1. My stats GET me to Jad. Once you are there its technique and concentration that count.

 

2. I don't know about guthans at every level but I have NOT had any issue with staying healthy until Jad.

 

3. WTH makes you think I can manage 3 prayer switches, melee, when I can't even manage 2, range??

 

4. I have read guides, asked questions, watched videos, etc. Part of the reason I kept/keep trying is due to my stats and the fact that some folks make it look SO easy.

 

5. I have yet to get to Jad without 2 saras and 3 or 4 super restores/pray pots.

 

 

 

The purpose behind this post was to see if anyone else, like h2oman710, had tried as hard.

He was answering a question he thought the title meant (not what was talked about in the post). He thought you meant you had a fire cape and had died with it on. Some people got all the answers....to questions no one was asking. :lol:
