GruntOfAction
(Well since a certain mod locked my one topic I was gonna edit I have to create this one) Well last night I got home from a day at six flags and well.....Lets just say the Six Flags in atlanta blows. I'll start with the All American Scream Machine. I figured I'd go on it because I have gone on other wooden coasters before and figured it'd be a cake walk.......Dear Merciful Heaven I was wrong! :ohnoes: The first drop all you hear is: "FHRUURUUUUSHBMBUMBUMBUMBUMB" and it has the same noise through EVERY drop! so at the end I had some moderate Spine injuries. I still can't bend over right right now. So we went to some other things and my dad got to ride the "Wheel of Torture" AKA The Wheelie. It was fun seeing him go ash white lol. So this topic will be used for Discussions on everyone else's experiences with six flags. Bmms
ya six flags if horrible knobles, and hershey chocolate factory and park here, and dorney and wild water kingdom, all there of them are much better then 6 flags and knobles isnt a big of a place, and is kinda lame to begin with, but its free parking, and what not and we just go down there after work, just to eat and ride few rollacoasters and hershey park is very good park, and its not as over prices as 6 flags also dorney park and wild water kingdom, are as much as hershey park, but it still its better then 6flags, so much more to do, and dont have to spend so much money on food and drinks and all 3 off them are hour and half away from my house, and are all in 3 different directions id much rather spend a day at any of them then waste my money 6 flags Aefx(started 11/1/2002) Cb: 200 TS: 1900+Bmms--Jr(Started on 1/24/06)(Banned 11/13/09 ) Cb: 119(pre-eoc) TS: 1700+Bmms(Started 8/?/2001)(Banned 1/24/06 ) Cb: 101(pre-eoc) TS: 1350+
Viktorkrum77
Forget Six Flags. Come to Cedar Point! I've been there about 12 times, and I love it everytime! I've ridden every ride except Top Thrill Dragster. I'm actually scared of it, which is rare for me. Me doing staff.
mello757
Indeed Cedar Point is the place to be for rollercoasters.

pro28
Cedar Point rules. I've ridden the Dragster once, and I'm never going near that thing again. It actually looks like it's perpendicular to the freaking ground... Also, sometimes the car doesn't make it up to the top and then it comes back down... darkmage099
I agree that Six Flags over Georgia is not the best theme park in the world. But you, however, are being TOTALLY one-sided. What about Goliath? Superman? Mindbender? Batman? De Ja Vu? Those are all excellent rides. I agree the Screem Machine and Ninja need to go, but it's worth it if you go on a weekday (no lines). The tickets are only $20! Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!
BlueLancer
When I checked out the game "Rollercoaster Tycoon", I saw a lot of these rides you mentioned (Goliath etc.) and I must really say "holy crap" if those rides are real, they are awesome (I did realize Six Flags is a real amusement park though and they probably sponsored that game). I'm not a coward but seriously I've never even been close to something as intense as that.

knives669
We have an amusement park near here. They have this awesome ride where they basically pick you up and drop you in this thing. Gah... it makes you want to piss yourself the first time you get on it.

I was very scared to go on the Goliath and also when I went they had a few accidnets with: SUperman Mindbender and batman. So thats why I didn't go on them. BTW My sister went on the Goliath and there was a wasp's nest at the first drop and she and abunch of others people got stung lol. What happened with Superman, Mindbender, and Batman? de Ja Vu is great besides the fact that it's broken half the time. Goliath is great! That's one of the best rides there, and it is not even scary. Goliath is just a Scream Machine on steroids. But it isn't all rickety and old. It's nothing. You went on a bad day Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar! I'm not goin on that, EVER. The biggest RC I've ever been on was Superman Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England 220+feet. http://www.rowan.edu/elan/denton/COASTE ... ayout1.jpg I was scared as heck. So high caues there's a river on the side of it. But yeah, 6 Flags, long lines, ok rides, I take our local park, walk-ons \
bbeetuna
Correct me if I'm wrong... 400+feet? 200+ shoot off? 17 seconds ride? You could always try the 300 foot 90mph Millenium Force. I've been on the Dragster once myself, from what my sis said, we almost didn't make it over the top. Best ride I've been on.

lemonberri
I heart Six Flags. There's one (Six Flags Great Adventure) less than an hour from me, and if I'm lucky I can get a season pass for $40. And when you walk into the park with nothing but a season pass and your car key, you really don't end up spending much money. I haven't been many other places but it has awesome roller coasters - Kingda Ka, Nitro, El Toro, Medusa, Superman, Batman, and a few others. wakka102
i live in atlanta so I love six flags atlanta, that ride is very rough, i tend to stay away from it :( There are tricks to staying in place, you have to push forward on the seat and shake with the shaking of the car and not try to force it, i can do the ride without injury but my friends cant seem too :P
