Why skillers?

Featured Replies

i think skillers are a waste unless your main has lots of black marks if my main gets another black mark i am gonna train my noob a bit as a submain.

botan ur such a nub... anywaaaaaaay. i think skillers r a waste of NAME and time. i mean yes it is kinda cool having lke 99 on a lvl 3, but when u rethink .. its like kinda lame actually just making an account for that.. i think they r for people who have too many time on their hand. but then again i could be wrong.

i am a paint noob

Well I am a Skill Pure, and the reason I quit my main is I just got tired of leveling combat and I wanted a challenge of high non-combat skills.

Just wanted to start fresh, you know?

The answer, as I thinks, is that all those players who gets skillers, have to much spare time. Sorry everybody who have a skiller!

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

people make skillers to be unique.there are already people maxed out with 99 in all.having 99 in all skills @ level 3 would be more interesting \'

I sort of understand why people make the stakers but I just can't understand skillers. Sure it adds some challenge to the game but why do you need more challenge? well thank god I haven't got any other accounts..

omg you wont believe this but some people prefer skills to combat !!! z0mg no way!!! I love skills, and i don't really like combat. I give skillers much more respect than pures or stakers as what they do is a hell of alot harder than some guy with 70 str or something...woo.... Some level 3 with 50 stats for all non combat has my respect...I made a skiller when i was extremly bored of my main, as he is mining and i hate mining :x There may not be a point, but some people find skills fun. Just like some people love makign pures and going to wildy, so there may be a point to skillers and pures. FUN.

The only real purpose to skill pures that I see is having 85+ mining at a low combat level to avoid being pk-ed at the wilderness runeite mine, but I understand getting bored with a main and creating a new account to mess around with. Just recently I made a new account to do the free quests again and found out that a few have been updated (the cinematic in the Romeo and Juliet quest, the new "sheep"), something I would not have known if I had not created that account.

i am a skiller, the reason i am is because my main got hacked :x and i didn't want to take time getting high combat again.

Also it is funny when you have higher stats than the people calling you a noob

The thing that annoys me most, is when people are calling you an autoer. Even if I say I don't auto, they simply say "Oh you don't auto now but i saw you auto when I was with your mom last night" or something along these lines. After all, guy who said it ended up having 95 IQ, I'm not making it up, he said it himself.

Most of the decent skillers don't have mains. Whether their old account was banned or they just don't play on their first account, making their skiller their main, is no ones business.

yep thats me, however im focusing on skills but training combat when i need to.

eg gonna do heros so i can use glorys to rc

however i admire the ppl who do it with lvl 3 the whole way, thats just amazing

I'm firmly in the camp of "why waste your time"? I've got two accounts; my main who is a member and has some decent levels across the board, and my f2p newb (who is actually my first account, but currently semi-retired), who I use to test new features that my main can't access anymore due to his levels.

If I'm doing something on my main, then get bored and want to do something else (say, working on woocut, but want to go do a quest), I'll just stop what I'm doing, switch up my equipment, and go do the other thing.

It's something of a pride thing for me; I like seeing all of my levels go up because I know I can do more stuff than the skillers and pures around me. My non-combat skills allow me to do quests and be self-sufficient in ways combat pures can't, and my high combat lets me go to the places lvl3 skillers can't without risking death. If I died and lost everything, I have the combat to go to the sweet spots to get it back quickly, and the skills to do it myself without spending hours merchanting.

Also, "noob" means a player who lacks even common knowledge about the game that was taught say on Tutorial Isle, or doesn't properly follow the rules, conduct themselves in a positive manner, etc..

A "newb" mean to be a new player to the game. It is in no way negative, unless you are a seasoned and experienced player, lol.

why spend your time with a skiller when you can have your "main" twice as good as the "skiller" I guess it could be fun, you know clicking at an iron rock, all day, every day.... But whatever floats your boat

I've only got 2, my original and a 2nd that I made when my account got stolen, I only keep him for the kick @$$ name and a combat lvl of 18 with lvl 29 prayer. He still can't equip black armor :wall: but I got my main back so I haven't checked my secondary.

By the way his name is "Runed Monk"

Wow... I just scanned it with my new high tech program called "common sense" and it detected a scam.

87.964% of all statistics are made up.

Yeah. I know what you mean, and you make a completely valid point. However, I believe the reasoning to making "pures" or "skillers" apart from their "mains" is to say things like: "z0mgz, n00bzor, pLaXXorz! mY mAin iZ comBaT lvL 100!!!!!"

So, all in all it's completely justifiable. :)

I personally think skillers are kind of a waste when you could be training the same skills on your main. i tried making one once quite after like 5 mines

i do think pures are nice though cause probably one of the main reaosns i play is the PvP aspect of the game
