Ancients Farewell Letter

Hey everyone,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know its been a long time since anyone has heard from me and its with a saddened heart that I must inform you that I am leaving Tip.It. For some time now I have not been playing Runescape anymore and I never plan on returning to the game do to many factors that have turned me against the game. I would rather not go into detail over the factors but lets just say I've seen the bad side of jagex and I don't like it. The factors I will go into detail about are the fact that the entire community of RS has became infested with people who their entire goal is to make other users feel miserable. And above all the fact that any rare item that can be obtained drops in price due to so many people trying to make money off merchanting them. Also that large number of macros in the f2p section driving the prices of valuable resources down to almost nothing. I did enjoy the game very much but I have found it to be heading in a direction that is not going to end at a good destination but will most likely end with either the game closing, going p2p only, or being full of nothing but jerks whos entire goal is to be rich and pampered. I hope everyone will take into consideration what I have said here and think about this game and where you want it to head and help jagex pick a better path before it is to late.

I would like to thank Kiarakat and the rest of the Tip.It Staff and volunteers for helping to make the game fun during my time playing it. You guys really helped and indeed were one of the pros to staying but there were far to many cons for me to remain playing the game. I hope that you are able to work together with jagex to improve the game and make it more stable.

If a girl is managing to keep you away from a game that you obviously enjoy playing, then that's your problem. Stupid reason, I've had several serious relationships while playing rs, and I told them I play the game. If I'm not with them, who says I can't play a game I enjoy? It's who I am, if I'm not who I am in a relationship then that's not going to be a relationship for life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your reason is often said by others, and the fact that you're quitting due to it is pathetic. Deal with it, don't cry about it. I see way too many of these posts come out about people "quitting." You don't quit halo, you don't quit xbox soccer. Why quit Runescape? WAY too many of you are treating rs different to a normal game, and this is the reason why you form addictions and associate with the words "quit," "break," etc.

I know that it seems like there are a lot of bad apples in the game but I am certain that there are more good players than bad ones. It just seems like there are more bad ones because they stick out of the crowd. It is easier to see the bad ones than the good ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, I am sure that you are going to have fun in that little place that is called "the real world". I hope that you decide to come back some time. :)

I totally agree with all of this. Except for the membership factor. You can't simply log on to a member world if you aren't paying. And most people don't wanna pay for a game they aren't gonna play. I do agree that you could simply renew if you wanna play. But to play for a few hours isn't a reason to spend five bucks. Now of course this doesn't apply to RS.

I just can't understand that. It's just a game, I don't see anything wrong with it. I only know a few people in rl that play, but everyone knows I play and they don't care.

What the heck, I've never heard of such atrocities. Although in my school, or lets say class, since my school is just too big for me to matter, you'd get laughed at if you play RuneScape, not that I care, I have a large influence over my class anyway.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is something I can't stand about Singaporean teens, they're just a bunch of conformists who can't stand something out of the ordinary. But hey, digressing a little here. If you don't play DOTA, Wc3, WoW(all the mainstream stuff) instead you play a different online game like RS, you're pretty weird.

rs and its sociology is absurd, but why be ashamed of it. I don't run around screaming I play.. but you know.. whenever someone knows i play and gives me a negative reaction to it I just laugh. Truth is, people don't understand things really.

I kinda fail to find these jerks, where are they hiding? I think most people are nice and respectful, but of course; there has to be a few idiots to destroy the fun for everyone. It's just like the real world.

well, i'm struggling not to go back right now, but i've been off for a few month and i found that instruments relaly help fill that huge 5 hour a day gap.. only problem is now that it's half term.. 12 hours a day there is very little to do..

Oei ancient, know the feeling :) And gladly I can say I also have a great girl I love over everything. But when she is not here with me, I still like to enjoy myself. Even if it is just a simple game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Its to bad that some people consider this game as their life. (no lyphers excluded, i mean the people that play it to seriously). I think every player comes from Holland, as the Dutch Trading thoughts are overgrowing Runescapes lands. (mostly cities, mostly Falador world 2).. o dear

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Still I like the game, as I cannot be bothered by this. I just avoid the merchanting by not doing so myself. Play a quest once in a while, a game of pest control (not 100 tickets in 1 time) .. do a little dragon slaying for cash, yes i need it to from time to time. And then a little more skilling. I enjoy doing alot of thinks mixed. Never gets me boring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Still, I think you make the right choice. Good luck with your actual life and say hello from everyone here to your girl. :) Their is nothing more special then the 1 man/woman that you fall in love with. :3>
