woman and men are equal! you may call woman emotional but they don't hide things and there not afraid of people, i personally think its time for a woman president. ( this is coming from a 12 year old)

How naieve...

The very reason we don't have a female presidant is because of emotion... Look at the people we have - cold and detached and able to make decisions without letting emotion get in the way!

I have found many many more women who are afraid of people then men - Many women tend to shy away from confrontation and would rather sit comfortably then step out and make that move that will help them to accend (in a company or life).

You have a lot to learn young'n.

If you're talking about the US president:

Without letting emotion get in the way, sure, but...telling everyone god told him personally to go to war?

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

If there are people who can profit off a lunatic, there will be a lunatic with power. If he is useless, he will live the rest of his life in an insane asylum.

Show me ONE other western president who claims God interferes with his politics. He is not from this planet, he is just lucky to have hundreds of millions in campaign contributions and use clever marketers to buy him as much airtime as possible.

I also hate it when people say "oh yeah, sure he's not smart, he just graduated from yale rofl".

His average was barely C and other than leading a baseball company that he bought with his family's (fathers) money, and became the CEO. His oil drilling company, which gained donations from the Saudi royal family, Spectrum 7 (former Arbusto oil), never found a drop of oil.

After his "career", he opted into politics in 1984, but was defeated trying to get into the congress, with his fathers money. In 1994 he finally got elected as the Governor of Texas, with campaign funds that came from his father.

This is not a personal flame of Mr. Bush, I just wonder how some people can defend this man and his "career"? What did he actually achieve himself? On top of that, he doesn't even have a basic education in politics. He has a MBa (master of business administration) degree. Even I have that and I don't plan on getting elected. Maybe I should, sadly my family doesn't have all those millions to throw around.

Why do people vote for this man?

personally i feel that women simply do not belong in certain aspects of life, such as high end politics. let's take Hilary for example. I do not see it fit for a woman to be president..i just dont. call me sexist if you must, but i feel that women rely on their emotions too much to be making decisions of that calibur. Also i feel that they are simply too sensative and just are not built like men for certain situations (mental and physical)

plenty of woman are stronger than some men. that is fully sexist. Overall, i think that woman are better than men at politics (yes that is right,I am going against my own gender). But i do think they are equal overall. Why politics? because they are more emotional. they fell the situations more and can look at it from a gentler point of view. they can see how to make it work for more than one type of person better. But it is people like you who do not even give them a fair chance :shame: :boohoo: :wall:

I'm glad you don't get to decide who gets to be a politician. If you know anything about politics or the history of politics, most of the time you do not mention those things in the same paragraph and at the same time try to run an effective country and fend off aggressors.

Heheh, agreed. Meh whoever came up with the idea of women's 'liberation' or whatever was a total loser. But for that smartass today I'd be sitting comfortably in a sofa with a book waiting for the cookies to bake.

so what you propose is an emotionless jerk who does not care about anything other than what happens on his own country =D> bravo! what a person.

we could save a lot more lives with a caring woman, than with a robot- like man. give them a chance. Woman are not treated fairly. we almost make them slaves. whoever made that woman should be in the kitchen comment is really sexist. I am not saying that the politicains we have at the moment are useless. i am saying that I think that woman would do a better chance being a politician that some men.

But then what do we do with all of those no-good women who can't cook well? Giving them low paying, no-education-required jobs is the only reasonable option.

Well men are suppose to be stronger than women because of the steriod hormone testosterone(however you spell it).

No, I'm telling you "emotions" and "politics" don't go together in the same sentence unless you want a huge disaster and fries to go along with that.

You are also proposing that all women are gentle and caring, possessing political leadership and charisma while managing to run a country.

So far the majority of the female politicians I know are the real heartless b*tches who only care about making a salary in a parliament/congress and feeling powerful.

The few female presidents are exceptions, and seem to be quite effective while being friendly at the same time, but then again there aren't really any female presidents in the world with real political power to affect world politics.

Exactly. There are just some females, that are heartless... yeah... and others who are nice but know what to do.

You can't lump people together, although I think you should pass some kind of a test, instead of just an oath, to be a president.

Kill every other baby girl, problem solved.

I figured 60 million votes would be a good indicator?

Considering Bush, no, clearly not.

We have a female president here in Finland, I think she's been pretty good.

I think the "contentment-procent" (Don't know the world in english :-k ) is higher than ever before (or at the same level) with our president. Though don't take that as a fact, it's just something I remember hearing..

Now you're just being an idiotic bigot. Do you realize the absurdity of that suggestion? If you kill every other baby girl, you're likely to eliminate some good cooks from the gene pool.

Even though it's human to set expectations based on appearance, gender expectations are rather limiting for men and women...IMO.

I don't want anyone to expect LESS from me physically then they would a man. I don't want people to expect me to make decisions based on my emotions either. Nor do I want people to assume that I like chocolate, chick flicks, clothes shopping or that I do girl push-ups.

It's always amusing to me when I surprise people because they expect me to be what they think is a "typical female" and I blow them out of the water. If I'm qualified to do a job/task that is mostly done by men, you'd better believe I'll do my fair share. Why the heck would I do that sort of job if I couldn't? If everyone gets paid for quantity of work, that's fine by me. If you're gonna pay me less because I'm a woman, then you'd better be prepared to measure my productivity against other people's.

Anywho, just thought I'd drop my two cents in.
