In case you meant those yellow things as coins, I'd recommend you to make them waaay smaller. Also, those yellow lumps don't 'pile' correctly, so they don't look like they are atop each other, they just look only like a solid surface.

Sig by me....

I salute you, king of crisps

I suggest making them coins smaller, and make then well, you know, more shiny.

Also, whatever hes drinking, it makes his arm twist. The anatomy could be improved.

Anyway, the coins could be smaller, and have more of a shine to them. Also, the shading of the character could be better. 6/10. :notalk:

Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...

The Tip.It. Furry! :D HappyWolf.png

The character itself is really bright, its a little hard on the eyes.

I agree check out terlys awesome tutorial on the tutorial board. He shows you how to pick colours that aren't so bright :shame: . also the coins need to be either smaller so the look like gp or slightly bigger and brown so they look like cookies! \' the shading is quite messed up with a bit here and a bit there. looks like you coppied terlys idea from his tut (in a room filled with coins). also brighten the coins at the back and make the wine purply-red for red wine or light yellow for white wine. I think red wine would look best. And last but not least use a different cape. maybe the strength one as it isn't soo bright. good job so far.

Thanks all. So you know, he does have pants :? They are meant to look like the frog prince trousers so I'll make them wighter. The Brightness of the character was put in because theres meant to be a beam of light coming from the ceiling on top of him. If anyone could help make that more defined I'd appreciate it :D . Yeah, I do agree with you all on the money, I'll start working on small Shiny pieces later on. With the arm that's holding the glass, I tried to see what it would look like in real life and it does work :) but I will try to make it more comfortable for him :D

Thanks again all, keep the C/C coming

Oh what else would a man desire if he already has a room full of chips! =D>

sry to say but it looks like a pile of buns (or however you spell it) to me :-# they are to round shaded, maybe make them smaller and realy round?

.:I don't need a sig to be cool:.

the reason they don't look like coins are that you're shading them as if they are circular, its an improvement from the first which didn't show any depth to individual coins but you've still got to realise that coins are small, flat, metal objects so light will effect a pile more like this..

I suggest work out the shading as if it was just a pile of sand, and use you're dithering to hint shapes of coins.. Figure out your lightsource and just go mad with dithering, not with the usual methods but with 2x2 pixel width blocks. With this I tried to also hint some coins from the side plus some star shines but its up to you as a pixeler to decide how you want it to look.

hope that helps at all, they were only quick examples.
