Pigeon mail is like regular email we have now, except we send through the internet at lighting speeds while through a pigeon it took hours and days depending on its destination. Also pigeon were animals so they have all the basic necessities just like your cat, but your pigeon canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t fly away because itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s under a magical contract and a verbal oath. Over the next 6 chapters I will try to explain my suggestion as detailed as possible, almost as if this were a guide to you. To acquire your first pigeon you must go to 1 of the 7 shops around RuneScape that sell pigeons. The best for now will be the one in Varrock. The shop is located around the guy who makes you strength potions. Enter a man named ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅLeoÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Your idea definately doesn't lack basic construction; You have tons of pictures, everything well thought out, and a fairly good idea. I could see how this could be very helpful except of one little thing: LAAAAAG! I think that this would make RuneScape lag a lot. Maybe make some maximums on attachments, the inbox, etc.

and make it for people unable to send pics because people might send pics that aren't about rs. and well those "bad" pics.

An important thing to remember is bandwidth. Jagex's servers couldn't handle this much data (especially if you plan on having .png format pics and messages 2-3MB data each!!!).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Reduce image formats to .gif and message sizes to KB

just safe your pics on your hard disk, not ingame!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but the idee of an ingame inbox is nice... but without pics and without pigeos...

how about make a vusual animation for each type of pigeon when you recieve or send pigeon mail?

err... the game now loads around 25000kb... and that already lags me...

 

 

 

2gb is way to mutch... thats 2000 pictures... just think... thats bigger then a regular game on dvd...

Great idea, but watch some of your pictures you posted. One of them was from a private server...

Well, again with most of the really big suggestions, this would seriously effect the player memory file, and as memory isn't free (a mistake that many people make in assuming that when they post suggestions...), this idea wouldn't fly with Jagex, even if the messages were in the size of xKB instead of xMB.

Personally I don't see why this would add anything to the game: Private chat is there for a reason, and certain players like Zezima would be flooded with messages, probably hearing a solid wall of "dings" from received letters.

I would support this idea if it was F2P too...

Your files on the hard drive cannot interact with a Java applet, without a ton of other stuff.

 

 

 

Other than that, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Without all the buying stuff. Just an ingame messaging system :)

first of all, the best pigeons are too cheap. 45k? The best ones should be a few hundred k, and the they should all be a bit higher. second: the requirements are all kinda low (except for the last one). the second to last one has a really dumb requirement... maybe be in legends guild? but not champs, that's too easy. and do you think this should be ftp?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

also, people could send obscene pics with the attach function that qould get past the runescape censor.
