rocketman089
And don't you think that since we were made with the ability to eat meat, that we were actually meant to. if we were made with the ability to make nukes, were we meant to use nukes on other countries? Fadfdfd
Honestly Thanksgiving is my least favorite holiday, mainly because the time of the year it falls on (arguably the worst time of the year) Haha, I just hate Winter... So you hate Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa? (Pick the one that applies to you) Anyways, I am all for eating turkey for Thanksgiving. Like darkmage said, I think it's just the battle for life. I (personally) think that it's important for us to eat meat to keep ourselves healthy. I don't hate vegetarians because they don't hate meat...I hate Vegetarians because they are all "I eat healthier because I don't eat meat, so ha!" First of all, there are some nutrients that we need that come only in meats. "So, looks like today you are drinking fat, eating some more fat from that hamburger." Lol what about the vitamins/minerals/nutrients that you are leaving out that I'm eating and you are too "nutritious" to eat them. EDIT: if we were made with the ability to make nukes, were we meant to use nukes on other countries? I'm going to second that being the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The answer: Yes. They are meant to be used on other countries. What do you think we are going to do? Put them into orbit. The USA doesn't spend Billions of dollars on Nukes just to waste them. Trust me, they are for your defense, and if we didn't have them, (and a lot of them at that \ ), Iraq could probably be all over us now, but they are scared because we can send one little nuclear bomb over there and blow up their entire country. (I know this wouldn't happen [so you don't kill innocent people], but just putting it out there)

Make7upu101
Vegetarians eating healthier- the jury's still out. I don't give a crap either way if it hurts me or helps me to live for 100 more years, it's an ethical thing for me. It's hard for me to imagine why people people don't see it that way but I try and keep it to myself while still informing people of why I eat how I do. Why do I keep it to myself you ask? People blow up if a vegetatian trys to act like he's "above" you for eating meat. It's the same thing with christan people trying to convert others. The smart ones don't just go to you and say "you're going to hell for that unless you follow jesus." They inform you and explain why they believe the way they do. It would be great if we didn't have more vegetatian bashing here. We all know the stupid ones don't have the answers. I'm pretty pissed because I just realized I forgot to get one of those fake turkeys (I forget every year) and thanksgiving's tomorrow. I've always wanted to try one. Leverage! No one is going to use them unless it comes down to WW3 in which case it doesn't matter because we are all F'd in the A anyway. Yes we actually do spend money on nukes. If we don't use them, it's still not a waste. People THINK you are going to use them, but really, wearen't. You've got to be an idiot to use a nuke in a 1 v 1 war. I doubt Iraq ever even thought US would use a nuke on them for two reasons. 1. Iraq hadsn't done squat to America. They weren't even involved in 9/11. 2. Iraq knows that if a nuke is used, the whole world gets really pissed at America. Then, America is F'd in the A. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar! rushrock
i almost went vegetarian, but then i thought that id miss meat too much. it tastes great and its a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals! (and fat lol) being vegetarian would be hard. VERY hard. i would never get to taste sweet, sweet ham and turkey!!! :( An Important Note To Vegetarians: Remember, vegetarians are missing out on lots of important vitamins and minerals, and vegetarians often feel sluggish and get tired easily. They are also prone to various diseases such as anemia, iron deficiency, peripheral neuropathy, and other nutritional deficiencies. BE CAREFUL!!!

This happens not only to vegetarians, but to anyone who isn't being careful and watching their nutrition. If you take a vitamin supplement (there are vegan ones out there :D), and get enough calories, and eat a BALANCED DIET (no just eating pizza all the time!) you will likely be okay :D Everybody hug and spread the love :D

The biggest challenges are (1) getting adequate and diverse sources of protein, and (2) getting adequate iron (some people aren't able to tolerate oral iron supplements). If it really feels right for you, then go for it :D Just be careful (like other people have been saying) about getting enough protein, iron, and other nutrients. :D (Good sources of vegetarian protein include tofu, tempeh, seitan, and legumes :D) Everybody hug and spread the love :D
lawrencekill
You make it sound like nourishing ourselves is a sin. Aren't carrots living things too? What's wrong with eating....Survival of the fittest. Go bother the lions that eat antelope all day. Comon, don't you want to convince lions to eat vegetables. Go ahead, we'll be watching from a quite a while away. I'm fine with vegetarians, but when they try to stick the idea in our brains... well that I don't really like. yeah....i'll try to convince lions to eat vegetables. i'll dress you up in a broccoli suit and dangle you in front of the lions  j/k lol. Unfortunately I'm meat, not vegetables. And dressing me in a broccoli suit doesn't change that. And don't you think that since we were made with the ability to eat meat, that we were actually meant to. if we were made with the ability to make nukes, were we meant to use nukes on other countries? darkforaster
people these days do not get the essence of being a vegetarian :wall: Are you saying we should all be vegetarians? Come on, that will never happen in fact. Because you do not eat meat, you are not technically human. Let me explain: Humans or homosapians are omnivores, this means they eat both plants AND meats. according this, you are not a human or homosapian for being a vegetarian. But I will not go calling you names like vegisapians or something. Because that is mean. And i have to agree with some points that have been made, Why argue your point about being a vegetarian when there are plenty of creatures out there eating meat right now. Your pets probably eat meat (if you have any that is). Go bother them, try to convince them in becoming vegetarians. sorry if i sound a bit harsh, but it is true. Lumbridge and it's past. I realize that we are omnivores and have the potential to eat meat. The thing is, humans have gotten to a point where we do not need meat to live. The definition of what is human is pretty debatable and I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m not going to get into that but you can't say person isn't human because they don't eat meat. Also, a lot of vegetarians will raise their pets on meat when they're small and then wean them off of it when they get bigger.

This is way off topic now but I'll throw in my two cents. About them not around in the World Wars, ever heard of Hiroshima? And the Cold War? The atomic bomb pretty much solved the Japan threat, albeit at a high cost of life, and the Cold War didn't have MEN in the battlefield. I do agree that there would be no point to nuclear weapons if other countries didn't have them. They were made as a superior weapon to threaten other countries, and so the other countries had to make them or else have no defense at all. (Haha this reminds me othe End of ze world). Back on Topic, thanksgiving is tasty. Oh and vegitarians are awesome and all that, but if our prehistoric ancestors had morals like that, they would have died probably. Its a minigame. The first person to catch him gets a Klondike Bar and a handshake from Chuck Norris. Watch out those 2 combined may have adverse effects.
