The first week feels like crap. Your lips feel like they're 2 feet out, and hurts to eat. You'll get used to it. Just worry about stuff getting in your braces :s ugh.

I got braces back in November and the only bad part is when you get them tightened the first two times. Doesn't even hurt after that. Oh and by the way saru check your messages.
