As most of you know everyone thinks ranged is underpowered. A new bow wouldn't help much because we have loads of new bows already but only use MSB or CB because they are still the best.

 

 

 

So therefore why not new armour?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

People know Dragonhide gives you a good ranged attack bonus, good magic defense bonus but extremely poor melee bonus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Demonskin could balance this out, by in fact giving a poor magic bonus but a good melee bonus, the different skins are available depending on their corresponding colour of dragonhide.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Green demonskin can be used at the same ranged level as green dragonhide which is 40. Same goes for blue demonskin which is available at 50 ranged and etc. Now some people would say this would overpower pures but how about we add a defense requirement as well so pures will find it hard to access unless they are tank pures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Green demonskin = 40 Defense

 

 

 

Blue demonskin = 50 Defense

 

 

 

Red Demonskin = 60 Defense

 

 

 

Black Demonskin = 70 Defense

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And for level 90 rangers and lvl 90 defense people a special demonskin is available called Gold Demonskin, this demonskin has wings at the back that give you an agility bonus of +5 while the full set is worn.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each piece of demonskin is crafted with the crafting level corresponding to the dragonhide crafting requirement as well. However the way the demonskin is obtained is different.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Black Demons (lvl 172) will drop Black Demonskin

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And 3 new demons will be added to the game

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nature Demons (lvl 96) will drop Green Demonskin

 

 

 

(found underground in Shilo Village)

 

 

 

Lava Demons (level 102) will drop Red Demonskin

 

 

 

(found near the lesser demons in karamja)

 

 

 

Ocean Demons (lvl 112) will drop Blue demonskin

 

 

 

(Found in an extension to the cave you kill the bearman in mountain daughter)

And its just as useless against melee.

good idea, but if they made this then maders would complain cause there armour sucks againt warriors too, still a nice idea though

Range has the best all round armor with Black Dragonhide. has the most accurate weapons in the game. And on top of all that, the most variety of weapons to be used:

 

 

 

Rune Xbow with bolts that can be enchanted with very diverse abilities.

 

 

 

Magic Shortbow for PKing with a cheap weapon.

 

 

 

Magic Longbow for accuracy AND extremely longrange (on longrange mode you can fire to almost the end of your minimap).

 

 

 

Crystal Bow (very accurate, and does not require ammo).

 

 

 

Salamanders which utilizes not only Range, but also Magic and Melee, making you able to pierce through any armor, and go around any protection prayers.

 

 

 

Seercul to further negate the power of mages anf the ability to cast spells.

 

 

 

Bone Xbow to decimate your targets defense level

 

 

 

and finally Karils Xbow, which has the highest damage per minute rate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then theres the use of Knives and Darts, and do not forget the Rune Throwing Axe special which can target multiple people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then theres the Dwarven Multi Cannon, making training go faster then you can say antidisestablishmentarianism.

Um...Underpowered? The new "special attacks" with bolts mean anything? Cannon? Throwing knives and darts being the fastest weapons in-game?

Since I don't like the idea, there's no point commenting on this part. Even though it's good.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The new demons are half-good. I'd call them fire demons and water demons, like the runes, but if you want your names, go ahead.

If demon skin gave a melee bonus instead of a mage bonus, it would throw the entire combat triangle into entropy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Meleer's would have a harder time taking down rangers. At the same time, it would still give a range bonus, thus giving rangers the advantage of wearing melee armour without the ranged penalties.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Range skill is fine.
