Runescape brought me closer to my calculator than my math teacher ever did. And I blame Jagex for that.

Pretty much what Dragon said.

Thread terminated.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

Sure it teaches some basic skills and such, but it's not particularly educational in comparison to.. well... any other game out there.

You could say you learn human anatomy from Counter-Strike on the basis that some of you are going off on.

Headshots kill.

Yea it's taught me a few things, things that aren't exactly on a need to know basis but hey, it's helped me at school a few times ::'

Okay, it took me a lot of work to grab all the quotes I wanted to reply to in one shot, so please, no flames! Read on below:

Yeah, I don't see how the med and kite are mutually exclusive.

Btw, I hate stats so much <.<

Sadly, I can see you mis-read the person's post. The helmets and kites ARE NOT exclusive of each other. He was saying that the Kite and Square shields were exclusive of each other, and that the full(large) and medium helms were exclusive of each other, not intermixing in exclusiveness. And yes, stats can be quite a pain. :)

Didn't misread a thing.

The clock is ticking, and your time is running out, mortals.

The econmy (sp) in runescape is very complex . It is very comparble to the real thing. Ecspecialy supply and demand. This is one of the most important parts of an econmy. A great example is what happens when autoers storm yews. Yew prices drop because of the increase in supply.

And yes I do like Duke Freedoms articles a lot.

Runescape has very few things they teach us. The don't teach us the basics things, the expand on preexisting knowledge. There are many lessons you can learn if you take preexisting knowledge and combine with knowledge in runescape. But the one thing you learn best in runescape is economics. IF you never took a class, you still can learn the basics.

And for that matter, if you didn't understand what you heard in class because only seeing it in actual practice teaches anything, then RuneScape WILL help you to boost your learning by quite a bit, and for all I know, might even help to complete it. :)
