Blue mask or santa?

Intriguing

Recommended Posts

Please note, I'm not looking for a buyer or seller.

The last time I checked before this, I think there was about a 6m gap between santas and blue masks, I don't quite remember. To my knowledge, there's about a 3-4m gap right now. So I'm wondering if it's worth me selling about 10k of my monkfish (I'll be selling them later anyway, so that part doesn't make too much difference, except that I could probably get a bit more from them if I sold in mass.) as well as my santa to buy a blue mask. The real factor about this that I want to know is, do you think santas will drop or rise at Christmas time (personally I think they'll drop), and do you think that the gap between blue masks and santas will increase, decrease, or stay the same?

Thanks. :)

Cool.

I have noticed they always drop when Christmas comes. I would say sell your santa and get a blue fast before santas drop. They should start dropping down soon. Besides blue mask is way cooler i have two in my bank :D

Thanks mate. :)

I'm not quite sure, but I believe santas rose last year at Christmas time. But masks dropped at Halloween just because everyone was expecting them to rise like santas did, and tonnes of people were selling them in mass, therefore supply was far greater than demand, and they dropped.

I'll probably buy the mask just out of caution.

Cool.

I don't see why they would drop... When they were dropped back in RSC they were worth 20k - Now they are what? 30 mil?

Keep it

The prices drop because of an unbalance in supply and demand. It's not a major price change, because they'll keep rising afterward.

Holiday items tend to drop a little bit when their respective events are coming up, not really sure why but thats what has happened in the past. I don't think it has to do with supply in demand because I don't see why the demand would decrease when the event is coming up, if anything it should be increasing.

Well I wasn't playing RS during last year's holidays but this is how I figure:

During the holidays, rare holders think prices will rise based on past events, which is true. Then so many of them try to sell, that they flood the market with those rares, and it becomes a buyers market. Because the rares are already pretty highly priced, the number of sellers keeps decreases when the sellers all try to sell even higher. The increasing amount of sellers is greater than the semi-increasing demand, so the price drops.

This seems like an ok explanation but really only would explain small price drops, and I don't know how large they dropped last year.

Comes from Duke Freedom, and it has a graph of the smaller rares rising and falling, really interesting and might solve alot of your problems. I'd go for a blue mask

Less important, The influence of a skill like construction on rares.
