Eh, I was bored and I saw someone post a drawing of Guthan, so I decided to have a crack at it myself. Took about half an hour, no reference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It would've been easier if I actually played Runescape, let alone actually be a member.

again your characters have giant feet. i like the kinda oriental feel about it. also the shoe design doesnt fit with it that well...

Holy.. It's perect i.m.o! The body looks as it should, he's holding his weapon very realistic, and he's posed on a very cool method.. it really wants to make us feel that he is the leader, and nobody can harm him.

I absolutely love the legs the most, great piece overall too. The shading was done well, gave it the look I think you were certainly aiming for.

Mostly, what I tried to learn from this piece was a way to effectively create the impression of chainmail without taking up too much time. I've tried cross-hatching, and it didn't quite have the effect I wanted. I've tried small rings, but they looked a little too messy. Now that I've tried this method, I think I'm getting closer to what I want, but not quite there yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any suggestions for that? I don't want to have to show each individual link, but I still want it to look as though it's chainmail.

Never played it. They are rather generic "fantasy" armoured boots, though, now that you mention it.

=D> Congradulations. A great piece of work there. The only thing that looks a little off is the [bleep]e things coming from the helmet. They look a little too long and droopy in my opinion to make him looks like a laeding warrior. None the less, brilliant art. :thumbsup:

Yeah, they droop downwards a bit, but very few things have straight horns that you'd stick on a helmet. Also, I wasn't sure how the horns on Guthan's helm curve, so I just stuck with what I thought would fit in with the image.

If that was any better, I think I would have to eat you (compliment). =D>
