Pest Control or Chaos Druids

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get my Herblore to level 60 from 52. Eight levels, that's a lot of Herbs. Now I've decided on either committing mass genocide against the Chaos Druid people for all of the herbs I might need, which ranges in the thousands of Avantoes (I'm shooting for that but I know I won't get 1k+ of that specific Herb but it's a way to gauge my need).

It's either Chaos Druids or Pest Control and with Pest Control I know exactly what Herbs I would get and so I could calculate exactly how many games I would need to play and for those saying "Finding a good PC world is difficult" I play with Affliction so that doesn't apply to me :D .

But now I'm looking for advice on which one I should go for, Pest Control is going to be somewhat fast but I'll get less experience for killing (spending 10 points per Herb Pack is pretty expensive and I only will receive xp for the minimum of 50 hits I get). Killing Chaos Druids is just repetitive but will gross me more experience in combat. So what do you guys suggest (hopefully from people who have used PC to get Herbs)?

Thanks :D

id do pest control cause it wont be as boring and its faster herbs and as Zezima said in his interview just worry about leveling one skill at a time :D

Pest control.... Chaos Druids don't always drop herbs, they evn drop guam most of the time.

I personally use the Chaos Druids. Pest Control points are best used getting experience, or at least I think so. ::'

I'll make it 3 out of 3.

Chaos druids are better for herbs since they have a chance of dropping up to 2 (maybe 3?) herbs at one time and they're fairly week and close to bank (near ardounge).

No, Chaos Druids only drop 1 at a time. If you can kill Aberrant Specters, I would advise doing that. Herbs + herb seeds = good herblore training.

They can drop more than one herb at a time, i can tell you that from experience.

kdb148, I have gotten more than one herb on a chaos druid more times than I could count but it's usually of low level herbs.

tefda, personally I would go for Pest Control. Chaos Druids drop lots of low level herbs and they aren't as close to the bank. Pest Control will get you faster combat levels too so that's an added bonus.

Manage Thy Kingdom would be much better !

Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !

out of the two I would choose chaos druids as they are easy to kill and drop them regularly.

Pest control is better for combat exp and herbs from there are kind of a waste compared to the exp.

Personally, I'd go with Chaos Druids at Edgeville Wilderness Dungeon.

Just take Dragon Scimmy and Glory. Tele to bank when full.. Repeat.

I would suggest pc since you most obviously want some higher level herbs and chaos drops lower levels more. It may seem like a waste of points, but your not really aiming for xp anyways.

Here, Here!!!! Admittedly I'm only 70 herby at the moment....but I get just about all my herbs this way

2 minutes a day to keep the people happy, do other stuff (I'm big on crafting at the moment), and then once every two weeks or so, it's "herb's a plenty"

Best of luck with whichever way you do it

i would go with chaos druids because they just give lots of herbs, and it takes awhile to find a good pc world to win points

Pest control helps u with ur cmb. Chaos druids helps u get herbs...

I agree with those who said do manage thy kingdom. Do that *and* then use your time to get herbs other ways. I would personally prefer chaos druids, and use my pest control points for exp in a combat skill.

In the end, I would say it comes down to what you enjoy the most :)

Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)
