In all my many months of Runescape, I have experienced many things. Thes include Dying, respawning, becoming rich out my nose, being poor as cheese.. and gaining the trust of many worriors and friends to have it taken away in the blink of an eye by one event, yet regained among the spans of time we call life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I began this character as your typical noob, wanting everything i could get that i knew was out of reach. But i saw people with party hats and very cool armour that I wanted to be like. I would ask how they made money, and how i could achieve something like what they have, i was told of this mystic thing called merchanting.. It sounded like it would be hard and far too hard for me. But then i realized, people do it everyday. Buying something for a bargain price, then waiting a bit to find someone paying more for it. This intrigued me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I made my first 100k my 3rd or 4th day of runescape and then squandered it all on runes, because i liked playing with magic because the colors looked so cool. After i wasted a good portion of runes.. i sold them all to get a bit of cash and returned on my small time merchanting buisness.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I strolled along World 1 for awhile.. and saw someone selling around 500k runes. I asked if the runes cost 500k, but no.. there we actually 500k runes for sale.. this amazed me. So i got into rune crafting. I bought as much ess as i could and started making air runes, I got 57 rune crafting from air runes alone in f2p. My highest skill. As time went on, i stopped crafting... and started buying people airs for alot cheaper than i thought i could.. The world 16 air alter is amazing. I had gotten around 50k air runes and then saw a post on the members forums for someone buying them.. I made my first 2 million coins that day, i thought i was rich, but i was soon shown up by a low level pure with a high level main.. this irked me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I was around level 60 when i decided i needed 1 million coins per 10 combat level, so i started on a massive air merchanting spree, which lasted a good 2 months. In the end i had merchanted over 3 million airs and had up to 475k airs in my posession at that time. I reached a total of 6.5m in f2p.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I must have had some natural talent for merchanting. Now i was ready for members, so money in hand,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i had my dad buy me a membership so i could continue leveling and making money. Little did i know, members was very expensive. I spent 4 million coins my first day of members. This was scary, how could i keep making money if i spent so much. I bought a junk load of raw food, and runes and decided to get some levels. Mage arena was first on my list, though i didnt know how to do it.. As i wondered around the nearest members area i could get to from fally, I found the Rogues Den.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is where my friendships began, besides my perm air sellers, i found a whole new group of people. I found Toast. He was a level 99 or so, and he told me he was getting 99 cooking. I was amazed yet again, i could only dream of getting 99 in a skill. I asked him about the mage arena, and how to do it. He gave me monkfish, a new mesterious members food. He gave me tips for being a member, and told me he liked my name. I added him. About an hour later, after having gotten to the mage arena, killed Kolodian, and gotten my Staff of Zamorack, i returned to the Rogues Den to find

 

 

 

Toast, still there cooking. I told him "I did it, I completede mage arena!!" He said Gj and continues cooking. In bits and pieces, he gave me small gifts, members items i had never seen. I was happy to meet such a good person.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After time, i followed Toast, and watched what he did.. He would leave for awhile.. and say he was kq.. whatever that meant. Then one day, he said go on the forums and look at my thread in goals.. and i had no idea what he was talking about. This was when he introduced me to Tip.it and the forums. YOU CAN ALL BLAME TOAST FOR BRINGING ME TO TIP.IT. =]. My fist time with tip.it people was in edgville, some kind of event.. im not sure what it was, but i met people like Saidinwot, and Oilertay, both of which let me wear their Santas after knowing them for 2-3 minutes. I made more friends. Anywhoo, i registered and hardly ever posted. Toast wanted 70+ mining. So he invited me to mine in the desert granite one day, i went along and got like 6 mining levels. Best XP ever. So the next day, i got him something, a Dragon Plateskirt. It cost me a whole 900k, just cuz they were still somewhat expensive. After that, i became somewhat famous, and i had 100+ tip.it kids on my friends list. All willing to help me, and loan me things i may need. Giving gifts and loaning money became somewhat of a habit. I always got money returned and all the help i need. I averaged about 2m a week being given out and loaned to people. I was impressed with all the trust involved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My time as a member was truely wasted, i nubbed in edge, but made money doing it.. all to go along with my merchanting sprees. I got many levels in members too. It was quite fun. I killed steel dragons, i killed toast... in his house. I dueled, i cooked, i even pked a few times. Thugh in the last month or so, my runescape life hasnt gone much of anywhere.. just loaning money, making friends and merchanting. It seems as though i had built a trusting bond with this community of people that came and joined in the ways of my runescape life. I begane wearing more rares, which i looked amazing in by the way. I nubbed around, carefull to never let anything happen to anyones items that had been lent to me. I didnt want to let anyone down.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But it seems as though i have failed in this prospect of being trusted. I had been lent many items of such a value that i could never afford. I was hacked, by someone i knew personally. I was offended and downright hurt. I lost 60 million coins worth of items that belonged to many of my truest and dearest friend in runescape. Along with 10m in my own items. Time to put my merchanting skills to the test. I grabbed an item off my level 3, which i had gotten from RSC many moons ago.. i found runescape boring then, but sometimes checked on my account. I went to work, trying to explain what had happened, and trying to get friends and money back. It was the hardest thing that I'd ever come accross. In 2 days i got enough to pay for a blue mask, and a disk of returning, and im still only 1 Million coins off a dragon chain which i will be getting tomarrow. Through all of this, i have made and lost friends, made and lost pixels. Throwing my real life in the trash.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some of you have seen me leave to go on dates, or not be on rs due to school. And i have been putting RS infront of school for awhile, trying to get friends back. So with this last post, i will be going back to my school work, cuz finals are coming in 2 weeks. I will be playing just as much, even though i say i wont. I will have too much free time anyways.

You are a prime example of what every player in Runescape should be. If everyone had the sense of community that you do, there'd be no scammers, no autoers, and playing would be alot more fun.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's tragic what happened to you. You have my condolences. I'm glad that you're making an effort to return those lost items to their owners.

As many of said, I do not know you. However, you seem to be a great player, and I'm not saying that because you got a mask in two days or because you're muchos rich.
