MyPurpleCrayon
That makes me all happy on the inside. I like it because it shows that there is going to be more depth into the first person story line, and probably for the movie. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so. insane
Sure as hell worked for me :D , and yeah i do consider myself a fanboy lol. Hey there's nothin wrong with likin a great game, or gettin exited for the finale (i think) of a great game! Except that it's really a very subpar FPS with horrible level design. In your opinion. Which I and all of my friends that have enjoyed many hours of halo do not share.
Lionheart_0
I will like it very much if it makes alot of reference to the time when John (Master chief) was growing up, and joined the SPARTAN II program. Also i like how when he is running, he actually goes faster then every before, which shows they could make reference to the time he joined the SPARTAN II program because in the books one of the female Spartans called their movement, spartan time. The reason I see it being so hyped is because it was one of the few decent FPS's out there with good splitscreen multiplayer. I could "never" get through single player though... levels draged out for so long.

Angryburrito
It didn't really show enough gameplay/ action to get me excitied. I think it could be a good game, if they get the gameplay right. I haven't played Halo 2 but Halo 1 was lacking in exciting and original fights. The chapter where you assault the beach was the best bit in Halo, it was fast paced, fun and different from anything else in the game. The rest of Halo was a good game, just not brilliant. I'll have to borrow Halo 2 and an X-box 360 before I pass judgement on Halo 2 though. Halo 1's campaign was amazing. I think I've replayed each level dozens of times. Halo 2's campaign is drawn-out and boring, and I only played through it once. But let me tell you...Truth and Reconciliation on Legendary at the part where you get into the ship is probably one of the biggest awe-fests in Halo. *sees glowing green sword floating into room* *sees Marine fall down, blood spurting out his back* Oh snap. Except that it's really a very subpar FPS with horrible level design. The campaign levels in Halo 2 were bad. The multiplayer levels destroyed. If you're talking about the campaign of Halo 2 then I'd have to agree with you, but if you're talking about the multiplayer maps then you're insane. And at least in Halo 2 you've got different options as to how to approach an objective, whereas other FPS's just have one big path that you have to follow that's lined with enemies. And subpar? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_2#Reception All those awards really tell me otherwise. sorry bros i'm not mexican

I just want to follow it along until it finishes. The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak. indy500fan
I always enjoyed playing through the first one with friends, via co-op. I kind of played through it by myself later. The second one I have only played multi player, it was all right. I'll play the third one if my friends have it.
lonellama
Yeh i hope the co-op is gonna be as badass as Gears of War, where u can team up with another player online and play the story normally with very minimal lag. I just enjoy playing through things with other people because then i don't feel so alone in the game lol, and it always feels great to know you did a good job covering your bud as he rushes to more cover. Geez i better pre-order a copy soon or all this enjoyment is gonna hafta wait

lonellama
when John (Master chief) was growing up Wait, what? Anyone who hasnt read the books proabably wouldn't know, but yeh the first book is basically a biography of when John (Masterchief) was growing up in the SPARTAN II program. Lionheart was just sayin it would be cool if Bungie gave us some visual in the game of his childhood (like flashbacks or somthin). I agree seein him as a child would be AWSOME!! then he wouldnt seem so cyborg like most people think he he is, but rather human being (cept quite a bit more juiced up :P ) PS. There is a lot of discussion on people saying seeing his face would ruin the game, or that it would be totaly sweet. I for one think that showing his face would indeed take away from the whole mystery behind him, but i do think seeing like an eye or somthin (say he gets his [wagon] kicked and his visor gets cracked or somthin) would be a great idea and would satisfy both sides of teh argument (in my opinion of course). flipflop121
But seriously, I'm a lot less excited about Halo after playing Gears of War. Halo will just be another "stand in the open and fire" shooter like all the rest. Whine. neva played xbox live i c, play against other people and you realise the stratergy's needed to excel in this game Started new account: flipflop v2

Whine. neva played xbox live i c, play against other people and you realise the stratergy's needed to excel in this game It's still a typical "stand in the open and shoot" FPS. Gears of War has moved the bar up for shooters. I dunno' if you've played it, but ducking, diving, and running behind object and popping out to blast some fools away is A LOT more fun than just running out and firing at them while being hit full-force at the same time. It's basically a game of "Who can hit the other person they most FIRST" because you're both hitting eachother at the same time until the other dies. I'll still play Halo 3. Multiplayer is awesome on it, and no, I've never played Xbox Live because it's filled with leet-speak kiddies that will annoy me to no end. Honestly, what's so funny about animation-humping your characters head after you kill them? That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Plus, they scream and cry hax. They're losers, lol. However, I want to try it out someday. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me! Angryburrito
But the thing is, Halo 2 is much more skill-based than Gears of War. Now I'm not saying that anybody can be good at GoW, because that's a downright lie. Both games require strategizing if you want to win. However, in Halo if you get into a duel with someone, it becomes a contest of who's got the better hand-eye coordination and combat sense to achieve the kill. Of course, the whole RRX thing sort of defeats this, but hey, if you can do it well you might as well do it. sorry bros i'm not mexican

Angryburrito
Yeah, from what I've seen and played, most of the levels are simple but when you get into boss-type fights, some of them can get really difficult. sorry bros i'm not mexican
