Anyways, I think F2P could use some updates, but you have to think about this on a larger scale. Be happy that there even IS a free Runescape available to play. Since there are so many people paying to play already, Jagex could easily make it ALL have to be paid for and you only get to play the game for free for a few days to try. Not to mention if they did that, they'd be able to expand their servers with the new profits, make RS better, etc. etc.

This has been said many times and it has been shot down just as many. If Jagex dropped F2P, no new members would join. (Who wants to pay for a month of a game they might not even like?) As members quit, no new members come in to replace them. Runescape ultimately fails. Now you should see why F2P has not been removed.

Personally, I think F2P does not need more quests, and I don't think JAGeX would bother to give it any. It is not needed, just for a small break in monotony... so no, JAGeX would never do it unless it is for a good reason, such as the Stronghold of Security.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you ask me what F2P should get more of, I would say this: Wave Spells. Snare. Teleblock. More Dragonhide Armour. A new set of Mage Robes that is below Mystics, but better than Normal Robes: maybe, Battle Robes or whatever. Low level Fletching up to maybe Willow Bows and Steel Arrows. Etc. Etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You could want it, but none of these are needed. So it is pointless to suggest it.

yes those items would be cool and skills, but....A quest or two a year couldn't hurt...

Off topic: You did dragon slayer at level 30? I don't know about you, but that lesser in the maze almost flattened me-it took 16 lobbies to kill the thing. And I had strenght pots and was level 47. And I had defensive prayer on. +15% defense.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On topic: penquingeek3's idea of a quest is pretty good. Maybe add somehow runecrafting chaos (though wilderness, I know Jagex won't just give use chao rcing.) Maybe bringing rune essance to any priest and asking them to purify the essance, or using the essance on an alter to purify the essance, then running to some portal in level 20ish wilderness.

no i didnt but I'm just saying a lvl 30 could and in fact many have you just use a crossbow and an antifire sheild beacause there are some melee safespots i didnt realize this till after i did it

Who said anything about "frequent updates"? All that is now being suggested is giving F2P a new quest or two. As for the demo thing, its not, P2P is the expansion. And I already know they aren't going to give us more quests, but it would still be nice.

Off topic: I did use silverlight, however, I had steel armor. Since then I have managed to kill the dragon (15 swordies, prayer, strenght pots, and full addy) and a new quest would be really nice.
