i_D_r
good sociological question for our current experimental mmo gaming age cannot answer this with a brief post
Chocobodude0
Wow, I can't believe that. Well, as previously stated, I suppose sarcasm is yet another thing that is too risky to use in-game. I don't like it, but I don't like getting banned, either... :x
Huge Noob
Jagex does not have a sarcasm detector. You can lie, but do not pretend to break the rules or something. Couldn't of said it better myself. Jagex can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. They just have to go based on what they read in the report. There's no tone of voice to listen to to listen for sarcasiam. Just play it safe and dont' be sarcastic about breaking the rules. ;)
Takon074
some guy was annoying me so i told him to press alt+F4, I got banned for item scamming. I'm still banned. Oh well.
Will H
Stupid, isn't it? :-k I think that whoever reads these 'snapshots' dont really have time to debate weather someone is being sarcastic or not, so they ban them anyway. Heck, isn't that what ban appeals are for??? ~ W ~
herominerman
i got a black mark for saying the word ginger In context of food or as an insult? If it was as an insult, then shame on you :shame: I'm ginger so i know it to be hurtful when people make jibes about things like that. -.- Glad the future looks bright for you. Make you sure you stick to your plans and don't get bored. Boredem = Failure =;
wakka102
its nearly impossible to tell sarcarsm in a game. Sarcasm is usually noticeable through tone of voice or facial expressions, both of which cant be seen ingame so Jagex wouldnt know how to take it :(

lagatag
Jagex are tight with the rules now. Best thing to do is not talk at all, unless to a friend or when you're buying or selling something.

Rikuto0
If we dont use Extreme Sarcasm, Grues will kill us all. If we lie, we'd lie. Its a lose lose situation. Oh, and Jagex hands out bans like the Santa Clause in my mall hands out Candycanes. RSN : Rikuto (Yep, I finally found my RSC password. Transfered to RS :D)

00 Quanta
Well, Jagex doesn't care whether you speak the truth or not. But if you end up being this person's friend, in the future when either you or your friend is lying will make things worst in the future when they find out the truth.
