January 7, 200719 yr Author well at least now i will have enough GP to be comfortable for a little while. Went to Dag kings upon the return of my good friend Metallica56, with whom I have traveled to that dark, dingy lair many a time. We got off to a rough start. As I have done EVERY trip I've gone with Met, I brought a rune axe so we can all take the same door. Our third man, the same great man who lent me 70m to get 99 crafting in exchange for giving him the alchs *cough* interest *cough*, ran with me, then bolted to Met, causing some confusing making Met think he opened the door for me. I got nailed a bit, so I went back up to kill hobgoblins and rock crabs, telling them that I'll be up there since they didn't want me to come. (jokingly) Anyway, we finally got on our way when our third man says, "If I log just go without me," and then in a few minutes, predictably, he logs. So we do our usually Odd/Met duo action routine, like the good ol' days! Met barges in to attack Dagannoth Rex, leading him away from me, who enters shortly after. I attack supreme with my Guthan WARspear, while getting hammered for 30 by the ferocious beast and drinking my Saradomin brews and praying for mercy. Alas, Saradomin noticed my prayers! The other level 303 tyrant known as Dagannoth Prime was about as far west as he can travel, and shooting down his merciless waves of watery doom upon Metallica56. Much to Prime's dismay, Metallica can also pray! With Prime distracted and unaware of my presence, I was able to quickly change my prayer to PROTECT FROM RANGE!! And easily defeat the beast known as Dagannoth Supreme! We then focus only on Dagannoth Prime and Dagannoth Rex, maging primarily and ranging prime between kills and healing sessions. Soon, perhaps half way through our trip, I get a message from Metallica that was so beautiful my heart skipped a beat... Pictures speak louder than words though! [hide=first drop pic][/hide] Metallica unfortunately did not have as high a prayer bonus as I brought, nor as high a level, so even after dropping a prayer pot for him, he had to leave before my time had come. I was scared to be alone with the three most intimidating beasts in the game (Only because Jad only pretends to kill you), but I carried on. I persevered! I FOUGHT FOR SARADOMIN!!! Ok I lied... I fought for gp, cuz I am poor and it cost all my gp in the bank in order to recharge my crystal bow for this trip... but Saradomin helped anyway :D Met, Leesters, and pretty much anybody I ever travel with have a set pattern for splitting drops. We split evenly between whoever was in the room at the time. Over many trips and teams, we have found that this is the most consistently fair and causes the least problems, such as when the solo mage gets 4 drops while the melee and rangers only get 1 and have to split 3 ways, after deciding to split based on "who was killing ______" Anyway, tangent aside, I fought Dagannoth Rex in the best of my ability with my Slayer Dart OF DOOM!! (makes me wanna play Munchkin... man that game is great) Shortly after Metallica left, before he could go to bed, Mr. Dagannoth Rex dropped this precious little ring: [hide=second drop pic] [/hide] Metallica grumbles, but was happy after realizing we could've gotten the ring together and I could've gotten the axe after he left, in which case I probably would've felt bad about it and given him a hefty split anyway (which I've done in the past... I love that guy!) Metallica then goes to bed while I carry on for quite a while more, trying to use food and prayer as little as possible by killing Spinolyps and keeping my defense up with occasional brews while at full hp. After he finally goes to bed, deciding he'll sell the axe tomorrow, and while fighting what is going to be my last Dagannoth Rex since I'm about out of supplies... January 7, 200719 yr Author Back to Dag Kings for more exciting action!! All week my good friend Laikrob has been dying to go, and every time we've made plans, our third man was missing in action (or I couldn't go). But finally, after long waiting, we FINALLY made our trip!! I slept since then, so I can't really make much of a story like I did with the last one, but the three of us got a Warrior Ring, Dragon Axe, and Mud Battlestaff. Our trip got cut short, about halfway through my supplies, when Dagannoth Supreme was accidentally summoned. I tried to shake him, but he was just whomping me for 20s and 30s every hit... I guess to make up for hitting nothing but 0s when I killed him on the entrance. Oh well.. those 3 drops in half a trip... I can't complain!
