Ok people, this is going to be the last update in the support list and proposal, because I'm going away for a while, so if someone would be interested in starting a list, all of you could just copy and paste it into your post, then you just add your name to the list

thank you

Well, I support.

And idea for the quest, it's called Elemental Secret.

[hide=The Quest, rather long]

The point is after you've got 30 magic, you can talk to the wizard Seridor in Wizard's Tower. You ask him to use more advanced magic. He says that for him to show you that, you must prove that you have mastered all other forms of magic.

First, he requires you to get him 4 pure air runes. This can only be obtained by purifying any ordinary rune essence (pure ess will skip this part, so it is easier more members), to do this you must ....(idk here)... to make the es become pure ess. This feature will be removed once you finish the quest. Bring the ess to the air altar (only druing the quest will crafting airs become pure air runes). You must have runecrafting (44 or 55) to do this part of the quest.

Next you must show him that you have mastered every element. To do this you must kill one monster representing air, water, earth, and fire. You must talk to one NPC to each in order to obtain essental materials for killing each beast.

AIR, THE MELECONY HAWK (lvl 90)- For years, this hawk has landed the edgeville, and terrorized the citizens. Talk to Oziach for information regarding it. Once you ask to kill it, he will teleport you high up in the clouds. Since there is hardly any air up here, you must sacrifice 5 air runes every 30 seconds or else you will take 5 damage and lose 15% energy.

The hawk spots you. It immedatly sends out 3 wind waves. (they all use wave spells). Then the battle begins. The hawk's special is the ability to fly up high in the air. A few seconds later, it'll come crashing down, dealing damage to anything near it. You'll spot a shadown 5 seconds before it lands. Once you kill it, you'll be teleported back. If you die, it takes over Edgeville and you are not allowed within the city's vicinity until one hour later, then you may try again.

WATER, THE SILVER SQUID (lvl 90)-For this part talk to Ned (lol, this will be the thrid F2P quest he's in if I'm correct.) He tells you of the Silver Squid, and how he has dreamed of killing it. You say you wish to kill it. And he tags along with you, giving you a lift to a new island. There is a volcano in the middle, and you must travel through it. It has many monsters, similar to Karajma Volcano. In the very center is a pool of water, the squid emerges.

If you melee it, you must physically enter the pool, so you must use 5 waters/10 seconds so you can breathe, or otherwise you take 5 damage. The squid's special is being able to dive underwater, then sprout 3 long streams out of the water, you will see a small shadow 5 seconds prior to the stream coming out. Killing it will teleport you back to Draynor, dying will make Ned sad and he won't give you another chance until 30 minute later.

EARTH,THE ROCK SNAKE.

a Dwarf in the Dwarven mines complains that a giant snake is eating all the minerals. He send you out to kill it. He lets you ride the cart to it's lair. Once you spot him, it sends out and earth wave that destroys the exit. You are then confined to killing it.

The Snake can dig into the Earth, and will hide down there, where his healing rate with be multiplied by 10 (!!!) he won't come out until he has full health, but you can enter his hole and fight him down there. Once you are in the hold the 10x thing will be begated, but he can still dig deeper. When ou are about to kill him, he will explode and deal damage equal to two earth waves. If you die it will be considered like he killed you normally. If you die normally talk to the dwarf. He will say "bad luck mate" and tell you it will be an hour before his men clear out the exit that the snake destoryed when you first entered.

FIRE, THE FLAMING IMPACHI-

Talk to the Zammorak Monk in Varrock Castle. He will ask if you are loyal to Zammorak. Either yes or no, if you haven't done Witch's Potion he won't accept giving you this next task. If you say no and have done the quest, he will just say "but you've commited yourself to the Dark Side, you must follow Zammorak!" He tells you that as a fellow worshiper, it is your duty to free him. He says that he can forge a key to the lock from magic, but you must get him the ingerdents. He needs 1x Iron Bar, 1x Superheat Item Runes, 1x Fire Rock. You must get the fire rock as a drop from the Flaming Impachi. He teleports you when you are ready.

The Impachi is just a big rock set on fire. If you melee it, it'll do one damage for every time you hit it, even if it is a 0. It has a chance of reducing your stats at each hit (all combat stats are reduced by 5). It's special is a ball of fire flying straight at you. When it hits you, you are surronded by "walls of fire". They have 20 hp each, killing one will get you free again. The flames automaticlly die out after 1 minute, but the Impachi can melee you while you are trapped. (Neither of you can mage while you are trapped). If you die, the Monk is disgraced and will not teleport you again until you prove your worth to Zammorak. (in other words, you must wait 1 hour before giving it antoher attempt.)

Ok, now talk to Seridor and he will explain to you the new robes, and how to make them. End of story, 2 quest points, 3000 magic exp, and ability to make new robes.[/hide]

PS-Lol, I'm sure that dinosaur is getting tired too.

wow...nice quest, and dont forget to add that when you finish the quest the pure air runes will all disppear

I agree, totally.

I'm p2p, but i love to f2p PK with friends. It's a pain to be a mage/ ranger and have extremely sucky armor to wear. This needs to be added into the game.

i totally agree with new mage robes, but a little different than what you are recomending. nonmembs need new robes, we all know that since all they have is horrible wizard robes, but the mage armor we really need is some with decent defence against melee and ranged, members and nonmembs sets.[/i]

~Drop the Dagger and Laugh at the Blood on Your Hands~

I support... I'm f2p so I'd love to have it!

i may be a member but i despised free world when i was stuck with it the mages lacked way too much and the other combat skills dominated over them....

and to the guy who posted first i beleive (the guy who didnt like the idea)

that really does sound rude and obnoxious i would love to see you loose membership and then start complaining for updates and then everyone here could say " i told you so" and i would love to be one of thoose people

i agree with the whole idea and anyone who doesn't agree doesnt understand how unbalanced f2p combat is.... melee dominates in the wilderness while mage suffers defeat at high levels and range also is good at low levels but then they start to loose more and more as they get higher leveled...

I SUPPORT !!!!!!! :ohnoes:  :ohnoes:

I only read until "new mage armour for F2p"and I support

Wongton is better than me in anyway~~

SIGN ME UP!!!!!!!

But seriously, I will kill you all

I am back for realz this time I promise now that I am a member :p

The problem with this is that Jagex wants to Promote new members. If F2P gets more things, the they will have less incentive on joining P2P. If they added it to P2P, you would get angry and want to join further. I find many things wrong with you argument, but I'm not going to take the time to go over them all.

Wish all you want, this isn't going to happen. Jagex almost specifically stated that they are almost never going to update F2P. If they did less people would want to be a member, or not as much. If you really wanted this, you should go on the suggestion forums on Runescape, and voice you opinion... oh wait... you can't! F2P is LIKE a demo, but isn't. It makes you want the game, but it's still better than a demo. Be thankful you got that much.

I'm not saying that P2P are better than F2P people, but Jagex honestly probably doesn't care much about the people in F2P who don't plan on being members. They really don't... they aren't getting Jagex money, and that's probably their #1 priority.

Let's recap what you just said:

1. It will make less people want to be members (multiple times, of course)

What I say:

1. Ya, I don't see this as turning off any potential members, so let's point out some faults in your argument:

A. There is so much more in members, that this is nothing, especially if it's only one update, whereas members get many, many more.

B. This armor isn't even as good as members armor, so they would join for better armor than this still.

C. This doesn't reduce incentive to become a member, it doesn't take away anything they already have.

D. If they add this, it will increase incentive, because it shows the difficulty of member quests, which is what dragon slayer was supposed to do, but it is in fact, one of the easiest quests. Also, an increased incentive comes from the balanced triange, an unbalanced triangle does not reflect well on potential members

2.

Jagex almost specifically stated that they are almost never going to update F2P.

When did they almost specifically say this? And anyways, this isn't like I'm demanding monthly updates.

3. Again, less people is the wrong answer, more people would want to be members

4. Why would I want to post on the official forums anyways, all I'd get is a bunch of people like you, beating down any idea of giving F2P something.

5. It could happen, they've taken plenty of ideas from here before.

6. Who ever said I was ungrateful, I certainly didn't.

7. Jagex main concern isn't money all the time, yes, they need money to keep the game running, but they are not obsessed with it, If they were, then there would be no f2p, or there would be a 12 dollar a month membership, and no f2p, they just want a successful game

8. F2p does pay, like I've said numerous times, through ads, and thats enough for 1 or 2 major updates a year.

Put simply, yes there is one last piece of feedback that might help.

Your mage monsters are too high-leveled.

Even though this is supposed to be a hard quest, it needs to be something that F2P can do, and without special potions for defense, attack, range, and mage, these monsters would become impossible to kill. Try more like level 70 or 80, but 90 is a definite no-go, period. :shame:
