Pking in Lunar?

Featured Replies

I was looking at the stats of lunar clothes, compared to split bark armour. Lunar seems better. During the quest, lunar is free. Well, you need to expend a few runes killing a suqah (or just meele it), but you can make as much lunar as you need for free.

Should I not complete the quest and jsut keep the access open for free lunar armour?

Nice thoughts, personally I like the spells and never pk, so for me it's easy.

But if you like pking and don't want to risk full ahrims, it's deffenitly something to consider.

check the high alch price of items? seriously it might save over something u dont expect

There is no drop option, only destroy, so I would think that they are valueless, but since I am in the unique position to test this. I will ahve some results later.

Too bad you have to buy it back and it costs more than splitbark.

Alch prices:

Lunar top: 60gp

Helmet for 60gp

Pants for 60 gp

That is all I am going to do. They appear to not protect over much at those prices.

Did you read what he said?

What if you do the quest, up till and including the part where you get the clothes, you may get it back the quest way if you die.

Oh well I suppose you could do that if you don't want Quest Cape.

AExactly what I am wondering about. I have Devious minds and MEP 1 &2 left to get the cape. The bonus will realy help for the dev minds rc req though.

Just stock up on 100+ sets of the clothes, and then finish it. Hopefully you never run out of clothes, or else you'd have to buy them...

You can't stock up, and it takes quite some time to collect everything you need to make the clothes...

QP cape (20 october 2007)

Considering that Mystic Robes still give more bonus... I'll take them over Lunar thank you very much...

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

When you buy it back again (if you die and lose it) you have to pay the same amount as for mystic robes.

Have you even done the quest? It takes no time at all. 10 minutes max if you were walking.

True there, but look at the alternative, during the quest these can be had for free, well it costs 400gp to tan 4 hides. Does not risking 200k in clothes seem to be any kind of a bonus? Thank you very little...

hey man remedial English might be for you. In my first post I pretty clearly stated that it is FREE during the quest. I am wondering if I should just leave it unfinished to have access to free semi-decent mage armour.

I'd say go for it. If you don't finish the quest it is cheap, and it semi easy to get back. It is also pretty decent. Better than wasting 200k pking in mystic.

R.I.P The Old Nite. Heroes get remembered. But Legends never die. You were truly a Runescape Legend

I admit, it's better to pk in, but don't. Since no-one can loot it when you die, the person who pked you doesn't get much profit. Think about them.

no wonder my lobbies protected over my lunar top :-k

The other way of making multiple Lunar sets is if you lose a piece which requires the hide you can remake it if you have spares banked(I do, but havent tried destroying yet).

Sadly for the other pieces which take quite a bit of extra work for(Ring, Amulet) the only way to retrieve if lost is either picking it up before the 2min or buying from the Dream Controller.

Hmm. Think about that one too. 1 iteming mage? What am I suppose to do? Hit ya with my staff? Runes and food drop 100% of the time.

Yes I agree there, but the helm and the ammy are near useles, so no real loss there. The lunar ammy is only +1 mage, much worse than an amulet of magic.

The ring on the other hand offers a +2 bonus. I have seen it called the poor man's seer ring.
