I think there is enough, and around perfect the number for f2p. But thats a reason why I like runescape, because of the number of non-combat skills that I could train, compared to certain MMORPGs that are completely based on combat.

Too many. Construction and Hunting aren't really that great IMO. They should've spent more time developing the world map or introducing more weapons and armor :) .

heh, whenever people are asked for oppinion about something in RS, it always ends up in the battle between RS and WoW...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

anyway, i do feel like there are a bit too many skills in game, but even worse is that they came in too short intervals. people hardly got used to 1 skill, when another was already introduced. it kinda makes u wonder, what happens if same pace continues... members already have 1 quest per month, if we keep having 2 skills per year things will get out of hand eventually... just how big can this game grow?

i dont really think ther's enough skills in rs. my fave skill so far is con. its fun, but it takes time if ur poor. but i dont think thers enough skills for f2p. f2p needs more quests, more monsters, and 1 new area, they also need new weps and armor

It's good to see alot of people answering in this thread, but try to keep on topic, and don't discuss about WoW here! WoW has nothing to do with this thread.

I like the amount of skills there are. there could even be more, but Jagex has to be careful not to make them rediculous.

Ok, keeping on topic and answering the question: Yes, there are enough skills. They're already time-consuming enough; so to create any more may render the game tiresome and tedious.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: Was that a description of the skills? It's more of a vague generalisation than anything specific. It's more a justification of my 'yes' answer than a comment on the quality (agreeability/disagreeability) of skills.

I feel there's enough for now, though i myself am curious to see how Jagex would revamp the skills interface if one more went in

You have to admit, the most exciting release is always a new skill, regardless of what it is.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There's room for plenty of more skills to come, and I hope Jagex aren't shy in releasing them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I believe there can be too many skills!. Jagex is good in flooding the game with new skills, quests and minigames... However, the 'maintenance' of existing skills, like adding new stuff to make, new monsters to hunt, etc.. is very poor.. Probably, this all has to do with priorities up there, but i would favour more attention to existing skills!
