Alex2828
Lets see... construction didnt get an update for at least 4 months after release farming never got an update... Construction didn't need much updating, as there were new things to build for almost every single level up to 99. Hunting just suddenly stops at 71. Exactly what i was about to say. Farming has many high level things too. Currently: Quit Ages Ago
Alex2828
if you want to get real technical its 80 because thats when you can set up 5 traps :P but yeah i agree LoL yeh I guess, but you know what i mean ;) Currently: Quit Ages Ago
Raven6666
Actually the highest requirement for Prayer is 70, which is for the house emblem/crest. Also every skill has to have 99 to get the COA, so the max level for any skill which is required to do something or use something is 99.
dutchdreams
I rather have Jagex finish Runecrafting: the message that you can craft souls/bloods is there when you attain the required level, the rifts are put in place in the abyss. Only the quests that open up the ability haven't been put in yet. This skill is how old now ? Since RS2 started I think ? Grrrr, get to work Jagex ! Construction didn't need much updating, as there were new things to build for almost every single level up to 99. Hunting just suddenly stops at 71. Exactly what i was about to say. Farming has many high level things too. id compare farming to crafting, in terms of things u can do, like every 3 lvls = something new. however, for you people who said farming didnt get an update... first of all, ill start out subtle. lunar magic basically incorporates farming allotments rite into it, with teles and super compost spell, plant cure spell maybe? i dont remmeber. ok, then tool leprechan that thing was good. magic secatrues, like 10% yield increase? thats amazing what about my arm? my arm's quest gives a 5th herb place... these are all updates not dirently into the farming skill, but things that make it good. id really like to see 90 hunting have a thing where you hunt rare monsters like the graak with a luring stick and u collect furs to make berserker aromr, just like mentioned in the 70/80 armor thread. the furred armor would have not be as good as rune, would have a high def/hunter/str requirement to wear. and it would be like all the peices including chest and legs give str bonus. Harrington
I think that Hunting is the least useful skill in the game and is in urgent need of an update. I think a good update would be increasing the number of hunting areas, or at least doubling up the number of hunting spawns. I'm sick of having my spot hijacked by someone with a faster connection... as I'm sure many of your are.

I'm not sure about deadfalls and rope traps, but some monsters only benefit from having multiple people. Chinchompas spawn faster if more people are there per spawn, and they don't tend to run off. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. All stats 75+

onauric
They are certainly going to update it but not very soon I suppose. I'd place my bet that it's timelined somewhere near next summer so that the skill has been out for around half year. mini193
Woodcutting, Firemaking, Prayer, Attack and Defense all have a low finishing ability. Where are their updates? They have been out longer. But yes, Hunter does need an update. but those are different. Attack and defense is like the cap is at 99. It just helps you a lot more as u get higher up. Prayer, it lasts longer. Fm, shade burning with mage logs isn't too low of a cap. Wc, that just gets faster so u can make more cash. People may say that with hunter it speeds up, but not as much as the other skills i mentioned Doing a little bit of everything

I am not unaware of the benefits of higher levels in those skills, but that is not what I was saying. My point was the the Topic Creator was annoyed that the highest thing you can do in Hunter is 71, yet all the skills I listed are around the same. Don't they deserve higher level abilities before a new skill?

They are flooding the game with new minigames, (low lvl) quests and new skills, but the existing skills&games dont seem to get attention anymore. And be sure that these existing skills@games need some 'maintenance' now and then, as we all agree in this thread.. Personally, I think this has all to do with Jagex focus on (real) young players. Many young players have a short span of attention and Jagex seems to think that this is the only way that these players will keep playing RS.. Jys
Firemaking... TBH that skill is so useless I don't know how you could impliment anything good for it.Ugh, I'm tired of people saying firemaking is useless, let me give you an example of why it would be good. You out in the wildy with nothing but raw food, a magic log, a tinderbox, and full gilded, oh, your skulled and in lvl 54 wildy. You see a pker heading your way, ready to kill you, and you have next to no health left! You say to yourself, "Wow, i'm sure glad I got my firemaking up so i can save myself, I spent forever getting this gilded armor". You make a fire, cook your food, eat, and own the guy coming to kill you! But you cuoldn't of done this with lvl 1 firemaking, now could you? On topic:every skill has a really high lvl thing, the skill cape! lol. But, hunter just came out 2 or 3 months ago(depends if you count January) so other skills should come first. jedidude77
i agree, but i'm sure something will come out in the next 3-months or so, but since few even HAVE 71!, they might take their time..... There's no such thing as "wireless." Just really long extension cords.
SirHartlar
I like Hunter because it is easy levels, Jagex incorporated it to be low-cost so I don't think there should be new rewards that would sell for a lot of money unless the method of obtaining it was risky or expensive in itself. Jeebe
it took a long time for rc to get an update... and a lot of skills still need some updates... if you wait long enough they will add an update. it doesn't hurt to remind them though :P Jeebe's RuneScape Tools
