Apart from being a new series of Top Gear, which is always worth the anticipation, it showed the footage from Hammond's crash, which was spectacular to say the least, and actually quite eerie. January 28, 200719 yr bubsa, he did 314mph... two runs in a straight line at 300+/-20 would not be as bad as constant powerslides at 110. But then again the tyres may have been a soft set for best grip...not to mention they were tiny. ~MAK

It probably would have been less likely to happen had they used hard tyres. I saw it too, and I watched the crash too. Not the highlight of the show. I liked the road work project. A great start to the new series and it is good to see that Richard is okay. Photos!
