moltov coctails!

Featured Replies

i had a random idea and i thought, we have rum and achohol on karammy and we have tinderboxes and fires in the general stores, so why not put them together and get moltov coctails! they would be stackable and you could throw them and get ranged xp. but i don't know how that would fit in with the "medivel" theme of runescape. :-k

Last time I checked it was molotov cocktails.

Those are the explosive thrown beer bottles right?

Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....

Maybe we can have something similar. You know how you put bananas in beer? How about if you light the banana on fire first (Tinderbox -> Banana), and then put it in, it'll be something similar. It could have the effect of something similar to a fire spell, and it would disappear on impact, like runes. Or maybe it can be a new spell.

Usually, I'm against ideas like this, but since I just thought of this, maybe...

I'm actually not going to support this - not because it's a bad idea, but because I can't think of molotov cocktails without thinking of GTA.

First crossdressing princes, now molotovs, next thing you know it's Hot Coffee with the sandwich lady. :uhh:

Something closer to the medieval theme might be greek fire - I've heard fables of flasks of the stuff being hurled like grenades. I'll leave you to flesh out the thought, though.

we already have them....

They are called red chimchompas (sp?)

But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

that would work, but u can't use beer, because the alcohol content is too low. i don't think rum would work either, which is on karamanja, but i don't know exactly.

its not a bad idea, and it would be fun to throw at the monkeys or lessers on the island :)

beer...bottles?...no...

It would take a much higher proof alcohol to make something like that, beer would smash, put out the fire, and just leave a nasty bruse on them

But yea, they have cocktails in the gnome stronghold, and as it has been said by other players, another, similar item (idk...for a quest?) but sure, I have no problems with it besides it's possibly being overpowered-ness :)

i came up with a similar idea. but it just won't work. as i remember this topic causes massive flaming. no pun intended

If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person.

@TOPIC: This would not be an idea. Too "non-medieval". Sorry.

how about blamish oil or swamp tar that is refined into oil, like oil lanturns!

heres how it would work, you use a knife on some logs and get 7 matchsticks, whihc you can light on fire and also use as a smaller lightsource. then you can use a gnome cocktail maker to mix the oil with some other flammable chemicals (pure alcohol) and perhaps also have a percent of failure, something like 25%

then, you use a tinderbox on the molotov and can either attach it to a arrow, or just throw it. the arrow would act like a average projectile but do fire damage, and also reduce the foes defence or agility

i'm think something like untradable, and also degrade depending on length of time they ave been made for. you could buy them from a TzHaar store, or Gnome Archery Store

On Topic: I think this sounds okay, but I'm not sure if it will be incorporated into the game or not.

da_guru_123, must 3 people fight with you over this issue? It IS a known fact (don't ask me to dig up where, this has been mentioned in many other places, go search if you're really gonna be that much of a pain) that Jagex wants this game to maintain a "medieval" storyline design. Heck, Jagex rejected guns because of this same kind of problem. A rifle, gun, or "molotov cocktail" would be far too modern a weapon. Heck, the dwarven multicannon was pushing the limits of Jagex's allowed tech boundaries.

'Nuff said. Don't call the other 2 people to help me here!!!

Whatever RuneScape is, who said it has to be an exact Molotov cocktail? It can just be something rather similar...Like I said, maybe a combined range and magic attack. Enchanting beer or something. Who knows...But variations of items similar to Molotov cocktails may happen.
