In case you haven't noticed, although you probably have, a lot of news and other threads here are obvious clones from SA. Not that I mind, I don't feel like paying $10 for a more rude forum, when I have a nicer community here for free :P I probably was once "that kid" at my school, although now more likely I'm not. I know that some of my friends are definitely "those kids," so people that only know me through some of my friends probably think I might be one of "those kids" before they get to know me better.

Who's claiming they are? We know they're guilty, we just don't care. Frankly, you should care. It is completely out of the spirit of the Olympics to cheat. It completely sours the competition, and just devalues "winning" the Olympics. It seems that China wants to be in the category of countries that North Korea is in, ones that can't be trusted to not cheat or lie, in Olympics or otherwise.

I can second the idea of joining a gym, even if it's just thirty minutes to an hour a day twice a week, working out can really help your energy and self esteem. It turned my friend's life around.

Did you know that en earthquake that is 5.8 is about 31.7 times as strong as one that is 4.8? (sqrt 1000). I was always taught that it was 10 times, but looks like that's wrong. I was in an around 4.4 quake in Reno once, so even if yours was only 5.4 thats still 31.7 times as strong as the one I was in. It wasn't too scary, but it definitely made me realize how odd it is when the three story (2 story for you Brits) building you are in on the third floor doesn't move as much as the tree that is outside is moving. That tree went crazy.

Oh god, how I am dreading for that to happen... I am fully honest with my parents, and it works for me. They let me stay up as long as I want, and when I go somewhere I just tell them where are a general time when I'm going to be back. If I stay out later than I told them, they don't worry too much, and just expect me to come back a little later next time.

But the sun IS a great "wireless" energy source. Once we develop better, smaller, more efficient solar panels, then there will be no need for plugs or outlets.

Same here. (My girlfriend not yours)

Wings, because they are so much more cool, and give an awesome factor that simple levitation is not capable of.

The stupidest thing I ever did was launch a potato cannon (air pressurized) without looking where it was going. The wind blew it into someone's house, and we ran before we saw if it broke a window.

C'mon America, we have to defend our title! Everyone go out and get McDonald's...who's with me?

Ha, I WISH 15 was the age I could get a job at. Even at 15 years old, I can't get a job at the place I've been volunteering at for 2 years, because the city that I would be working for doesn't hire people under 16 :( So waiting until you're 15 might not work.

Hey Arnold! Was THE CABBAGE

Take it. AP=College Creds. You have nothing to lose. I wish I could take AP statistics :( But unless I skip Pre-cal, or do Calculus and AP Stats the same year, i can't :(

So you're from Australia? Because it's summer around here in the Northern Hemisphere. EDIT: Ahh, I see you're from Brisbase, Australia, I WAS right. That sounds pretty bad, probably worse than any day I've ever had. I can't even think of anything that compares to that story.

3 burgers? I usually just get a Big Mac. I know McD's get a lot of [cabbage], but srsly, Big Mac is a good deal If you think a Big Mac is a good deal, then take a look at the .

It peaked at 102 degrees F last heatwave (39 degrees C), and I had to turn off my computers and lights and lie on my bed with a cold drink, it was so uncomfortably hot.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

To be guaranteed to have happiness, success, and love in my life as long as I worked diligently. -
To be honest I thought all there work before american idiot was quality, Only after the American idiot album when they got really big and everyone bummed them is when they got too overrated. Do you realize that you just said that you liked Green Day until it got popular? I hope you realize that you sound like the stereotypical indie-rock fan. I'm not saying that Green Day didn't get worse after people started liking it, or that Green Day is even good at all, but I just wanted to point out that you probably sound like someone you don't want to sound like. :P

My favorite book is Dune, by Frank Herbert. I've read some of the rest of the series, but Dune is really the only one that I think is good enough to be my favorite book.

I've never written a book, but I have thought of it. Usually when I write things like short stories, its hard to fit everything in there that I was planning on writing without making it too long, so I can imagine writing a book about 100 pages long. A good example of a book that is the length I would write is "Of Mice and Men." A good story in the perfect space, not too long that its boring, and not too short that you finish it wishing it were longer.

On behalf of the long-haired males at tip.it, I thank you. ;)

I have long hair and am a guy. My hair is about 15-17 inches in length. I wash it and use conditioner on it every day, and I brush it well in the morning, and sometimes at night. I like having my hair long, it keeps my head warm in the winter. It would seem like in the summer it would get in the way and make my head too hot, but I've never experienced that. Last summer I went backpacking in Yosemite, and it was about 100 degrees the entire time. I didn't notice the heat making my head particularly uncomfortable, and it feels nice when I walk into the wind and my hair is blown backwards.

I met my girlfriend through school. We both noticed each other on the first day, and started talking to each other, a lot. We found out that we had a lot in common (she's the only girl I know that likes video games as much as me  ) and our relationship just took off from there.

1. Orange Box - I am a fan of the half life series, and hl2:ep2 is possibly the second best game in it besides hl1. It never has a dull moment, the achievements are fun to try to get (although I never bothered with the grubs)and it is overall an awesome game. Portal is the best puzzle game ever in my opinion, and even though it was short, it was the most fun I had in a while. Team Fortress 2 is the best multi player FPS of the year, and everything about it is perfect. I give the Orange Box a 100 overall, and a 110 on the price. 2. Rockband - This is the ultimate music based game. It has a good singleplayer and good song selections, but what makes this game outshine GH3 is the multi player aspects. It also has more long term goals than GH3 that increase replay value. (Who else is saving up for the Goat's Head guitar and bass and the Rock Candy ring?) 3. Halo 3 - I know that everyone says that this is worse than COD4, but I have enjoyed this game much more than COD4. I think that this game is more based on having fun that just being the best soldier or killing the most enemies. For what I have played of COT4, the gameplay just isn't as good. Also, Halo 3 is one of the only console based FPS's that I actually like. I usually go for the PC version, but Halo 3 is good enough to play. 4. Bioshock - This game is tied with Halo 3, but I decided to put it lower because Halo 3 has a strong multiplayer. This game is a work of art, and it reminds me of the work of art that half-life is. However, it isn't quite as good so it only deserves #4. 5. Nope, there are only 4 games that, in my opinion, must be played to be able to call yourself an FPS gamer. I mainly play FPS's, so I guess there might be games of other genres that are good, but of course they don't get as much hype so they aren't as popular.

I don't have glasses and I would like to never need them, because they would just be another thing to keep track of. :P
