South Park!!!

I love South Park. I have every Season (That is currently being sold), and I have "South Park; The Hits: Volume 1". I have seen every episode, I believe, including the episodes:

Jesus vs. Frosty

Which is the first episode ever made my Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They met in a film class at the University of Colorado and made it for a Film Festival. This was made in 1992.

Jesus Vs. Frosty

Notice how Cartman is called Kenny. God, they have come a long ways.

Jesus vs. Santa

This is the second episode. A FOX executive wanted Trey and Matt to make a video to send to his friends as a X-mas card. This was posted on the internet, Comedy Central saw it and hired Trey and Matt to make more episodes.

Jesus vs. Santa

You can see Wendy Testaburger in this. She is sitting on Santa's lap. I am glad South Park exists.

Here's something that'll make you guys say "Ohh...", like I did.

Do you know why Eric Cartman's mom sleeps with everybody? Well I do.

Trey Parker had a fianc̮̩̉̉ named Liane. He caught her having sex with another man. He then named Cartman's mom, Liane Cartman, after his ex-fianc̮̩̉̉. That's why she sleeps with everyone because he's making fun of Liane.

Do you blame the show or the parents? I mean they do give that HUMONGOUS warning about it being adult content. So you can't really say it is without warning. Besides, the parents shouldn't let their children watch it. It is up to the parents.

I never blamed the show. My only problem with it is timeslot. That's more of Comedy Central's problem.

I only said I thought the show had gone too far at some points.

Yeah but keep going...What is wrong with going "too far"? You said it was bad because children watched it. Well, that is the parent's fault.

And it's also the network's, for airing a TV-MA program at primetime. Like I said, move it to 11PM and it's fine.

Not really clued in on the whole broadcasting system in the U.S, but are you saying they play South Park primetime? Like 8pm-9pm or what?

That seems a bit weird.

They play it at 8:30 on monday nights in Aus if I remember correctly. It's hardly a cancer on society in this country (actually I don't think there's a problem with it here in the slightest).

11:00PM in Arizona time, but that's just a DST descrepency. It's on a few hours earlier on the Fox network though, granted it's edited and censored a lot heavier.

southpark is racist. Therefore evil, therfore I don't watch it.

I'd say it's parody more than racism. There's no real element of hate, it's totally based on comedy.

I don't think you can blame him at all for not enjoying it. It's pretty cruel. But stil awesome...

I live in central aswell and I watch it ALL the time. I have personally never seen it on before 10 PM, ever. When I was in school I was never able to watch it because I was in bed at 10 PM...As all children should be if their parents aren't idiots.

As warrior45 said, there is no racism. Cartman calling Kyle a jew is supposed to be a parody, not racist hatred.

Besides, "Jew" is a religion, not a race. I believe the race would be "Hebrew" if anything.

They make fun of blacks, Mexicans, Asians, and other races. It's not just Jews.

That's not racism either.

I've said it 100 times before...People *really* need to learn the difference between stereotyping and racism. Stereotyping is using stereotype as a joke, or even as seriousness to classify how a group of people acts. Racism is out-right hatred just because of color and stuff. Stereotyping usually has a base, while racism has no base, it's unfounded and just stupid.

There seems like an awful lot of hatred (even if it's comical) on South Park. For example, Cartman hates blacks, Jews, and many others.

Nevertheless, I think South Park is mainly just comical stereotyping.

Yea, Cartman claims to hate those groups of people (hippies too!), but that's so different from the show being racist, you know? The show wouldn't be on if it was racist...Main-stream stuff doesn't allow racism or general hatred of groups of people. That's for groups like the KKK who hide in shadows like cowards and try to base their claims off something "good" like the Bible. Ugh. Scum.
