South Park...Those words are so sweet. Yes, this thread is dedicated to the honor and glory that is South Park.

South Park Website! (Thanks, justin_m23!)

Started in August 13, 1997 by the amazing Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park has been aired on Comedy Central, and continues to touch people's hearts with its special brand of crude humor. Everything from religon and race to famous celebrities and movies, South Park, literally, makes fun of everything.

This is what I ask of you:

1. Do you like South Park?

2. What are your favorite South Park episode(s)?

3. Do you think South Park's gone too far? (ex. Making fun of Steve Irwin.)

1. Yes!!! :D

2. Butt Out, It's Christmas In Canada, All About Mormons, South Park Is Gay!, Christian Rock Hard, The Losing Edge, Good Times With Weapons, A Ladder To Heaven, The New Terrance and Phillip Movie Trailer, Chinpokomon, and many, many more! (South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut was awesome, too!)

3. Nah! They're too damn funny, and they make fun of everyone!

Feel free to ask me any other South Park-related questions!

South Park rules!!!

1. No, the new episodes are horrible.

2. Chimpokomon was good. Bigger, Longer & Uncut was incredibly funny.

3. Yea, but that's only because they are running out of things to make shows about. So they have to do things like that.

122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength

97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

The later episodes are incredibly hit and miss in my opinion. The Steve Dawkins episodes made me cringe, but the Faith +1 episode (Cartman starts a Christian rock band) was absolutely hilarious. Often t's not even the subject they're poking fun at that makes it bad. There's just better ways of making fun of Dawkins than making Mrs. Garrison shout "pound my monkeyhole!".

1. No. It's really crude, and has offended me on many occasions. Of course, I know that that's the point of the show.

2. The WoW one was ok, I watched it with some of my students. Until the diarrhea scene. That was just sick.

3. Every week.

I absolutely adore South Park. It pokes fun at things that other people don't touch, and they always do it in either a clever or such a completely ridiculous way. I can't understand why people would take offence to it.

My favourite episodes are that one where they find out how Family Guy scripts are written... AHAHAH (can't stand Family Guy but that's for another time..), that mormon one, the ninja one (good times with weapons?) and the Butter's episode. I love him.

I've seen every episode at least 10 times each. I watch them while I play rs. I could probably write the script for most of the episode  . I really enjoyed Woodland Critter Christmas. It's one of that that makes you say "what the F!?!?!?" out loud

1. Yeah, I love the show

2. Hard one... I'd have to say Faith +1 though, I loved that episode.

3. No way. The steve Irwin joke was great, probaly one of the funniest one-liner's I've heard in the show.

anyways, if you want to see "going too far" just look for the aristocrats joke they did ;p.

IMO if you truely get offended by south park you need to step back a bit...

I've seen nearly every episode, and I can recite the scripts of most episodes. :)

Yeah, I had that feeling too when I watched Woodland Critter Christmas. :P

Uh...lets see...

Saying Sh** 100 times in 30 minutes.

Explicit sex between men on basic cable with no warning. FFS, little kids could find that.

Christ vs Satan boxing match. That singlehandedly pissed off my entire family.

Endless potty jokes. What the heck is so funny about watching someone throw up and crap? Worse? Seeing people crap out of their mouths.

South Park is not satire. That's just an excuse. It's just pure and simple Beavis and Butthead with some forethought.

If it's not to your taste, then fine. But I think you should be able to appreciate how South Park can have different levels of humour: Slapstick, Satire and humour to piss off people just like you.

Now I find that funny. I can laugh at myself, if South Park were to make fun of Scousers (and frankly I'm surprised they haven't) I'd love it.

Here's one of my favourite episodes http://youtube.com/watch?v=zV9oPUcTaRs

Funny how they made fun of the Japanese songs that plague anime

One of my favourite moments is Faith + 1 when Cartman gets Token to play.

First went -

Cartman:Token! Get the bass guitar out of your basement and meet me over at my house!

Token: What?! We don't have a bass guitar.

Cartman: Your family's black, Token! There's bound to be a bass guitar in your basement somewhere!

[...]

Token: Hey, there was a bass guitar in my basement.

Cartman: I told you, Token.

Another scene was -

Cartman: All right, Token, give me a smooth bass line.

Token: I don't know how to play bass.

Cartman: Token, how many times do we have to go through this? You're black. You can play bass.

Token: I'm gettin' sick of your stereotypes!

Cartman: Be as sick as you want, just give me a God-damned bass line!

*Token starts playing*

Token: God-damnit!

And I wonder why kids are cursing more and more earlier and earlier.

I'm a teacher, and it saddens me to see children acting like the Southpark show.

I really don't see a huge deal with cursing. It never has bothered me when people do it. They are just words. If your saying a racist word I could understand it being bad, like the N word. But words like the F word or the S word don't seem like a big deal to me.

The kids on South Park are not to be imitated. They're there to be protagonists in bringing the afore mentioned humour to the show.

The show is for adults. It has adult humour in it. That's clear and presented by South Park itself. Don't blame the show for influencing kids, that's down to inept parenthood at letting their kids watch an adult show. Being a cartoon doesn't mean smeg all.

But the show portrays children, and children will watch. Whether their parents want them to or not.

And unfortunately, the immature brats do imitate them.
