I've been using FoL and HS, with HoL as an emergency heal. Also specced into Divine Guardian for a "raid wall" sort of spec, works beautifully on some fights. I healed 9/12 HMs and then full clear in my guild 10 man run (our regular Holy Pally has a 6k Warlock, so the switch worked out perfectly) and 7/12 (first 6 and Val) in a pug 25 man, so now its just an issue of getting gear. Also got Belt of the Lonely Noble off the first trash pull in that pug woop woop.

I had horrible drop rates, and the prices were ridiculous on my realm for that, so I ended up blowing 60 Frosts on the Emblem Belt. >_<

 

Also, if you haven't already, you should do some arena and pick up one of the PvP FoL Librams. I think the cheapest one is like... 300 Arena Points and 7k honour? And yeah, with the Imp. SS, FoL is pretty awesome. ;o

I also had an apiphany(sp?) Macros are useless. If you live just by macros you're dps will be [cabbage]e... I learned this the hard way... I deleted all my macros on my deathknight and made 1 macro (apply diseases) and cast the rest manually and it increased my DPS so much. :D and of course... spamming macros is boring as hell.

 

Also.. I'm having horrible luck on my shaman. I did a pug of icc25 and got up to fester, a total of 5 decent upgrades for me were dropped, I got 0. I did another pug of ICC25 and go up to saurfang and a total of 3 decent upgrades were dropped... again I got nothing :< Whereas my girlfriend (who plays a hunter) gets so much gear and rubs it in my face. Bah. :< I need the ICC25 shield from marrowgar so bad, I'm still using the emblem of heriosm one, and thats a healing shield :<

I told her I was going to do that but I can't be bothered to farm a buttload of emblems to get me into ICC as an enhancement... maybe in cataclysm xD

Just about level 25, in Duskwood right now. Today in Stormwind about 7-8 horde came rampaging through (realm Nazjatar) the front entrance and they were murking it up but then like 30 Alliance showed up and completely annihlated the Horde. Then in Duskwood 2 more horde, a hunter and dk, rampaged through and I gave my guild the heads up and about 3 guys showed up and finished off those Horde. First time I've ever seen a Horde vs. Alliance fight. Pretty satisfied with my equipment, everything is in blue so im happy. Having alot of fun :D

Ahhh that sucks, we actually have a bunch of ICC BoE's in my guild's Officer Tab that we save for core raiders who need them, and I was really considering taking one of the belts for my Pally but then I got lucky and it dropped haha.

 

The Libram advice is actually a good idea, I've been using the Libram of Renewal (Holy Light mana cost reduction) but I rarely, if ever throw out a Holy Light... only like every 14 seconds to keep up the cast time reduction buff. The Relentless one costs 300 Arena Points and 7k Honor but it also needs 700 rating to get, so I just grabbed the Furious one for 12k honor for the time being. One of my buddies can probably run to 700 with me this week. Thanks for the help.

Gasp. Your enjoying being a warrior? I got amazingly bored of it, there just so plain. If your having fun being a warrior then I bet you'd love playing a class like druid. Just my opinion. I got my warrior to 10, got bored, made a pally which I leveled to 7, went back to warrior which I raised to 15, got bored again, and made a hunter. I've stuck with my hunter ever since, he's currently level 26.

Yeah, try find a Death Knight to run 2's with. It's ridiculously easy, since you're both nigh-immortal. And Arena can be really fun. Though I prefer BG-stomping with guildies, myself. Topping heals and HKs is pretty great. xD

Ignore him :P I personally think warriors are awesome. When you get to a higher level it may become overwhelming with all the abilities but stick to it and you should be fine. I also find warriors are the most fun class to tank with.

Err I did not touch wow for awhile but didn't Blizzard buffed Icy Touch so that it gives an unholy amount of threat now? People I see are saying dk tanking are easy because now you get the initial grab instead of waiting for DnD to kick in.

Get used to it unfortunately, the pug system is full of idiots.

The truly awful DK tanks you might get during Outland dungeons, well, let's just say that if they use Icy Touch on a mob, it's purely by chance.

 

As for what tanks are easy, it's probably a bit situational. Warriors are a bit gimped when they need to pick up a stream of incoming adds (such as Onyxia whelps) but have superior mobility, for example. The only thing that the increased threat on Icy Touch makes easier is keeping overzealous DPS alive, which as a tank I don't consider one of my tasks. Don't get my wrong, I'll make enough threat to allow the DPS to nuke to their heart's content, but if they're overdoing it I might just misplace my taunt button for a few seconds :P

 

As for the warrior, I found the early levels a bit stale, but if you're new to the game that'll hardly be an issue. They're lots of fun when you get a few strong talents rocking and can plow through numerous enemies without much effort.

Paladins seem boring to me now... I tried a tauren one and didn't really like it at all.. Prefered them pre-wotlk.

Also it's down to personal prefrence.. some people will find certain classes fun whereas others won't. Try not to dishearten newbies about the class they are playing... that's why it took me 5 years to level one toon to max level. <_<

 

Some advice to skully - Try not to abandon your characters... I have about 20 characters on a load of different realms just because I didn't know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to play. Sure if you get bored, make another alt and alternate a little bit but sticking to one character really pays off in the end :)

Saurfang. As for what class to make, it really does depend. I have only played one char (Human Paladin) and it's pretty easy to level, but I don't really know about other classes so I'm not the best person to ask. :P
