February 12, 200719 yr In F2p, would runecrafting or mining/smithing be better for making money? all 3 skills are at lvl 1 right now
February 12, 200719 yr In F2p, would runecrafting or mining/smithing be better for making money? all 3 skills are at lvl 1 right now Mining A full inventory of (level 15) Iron can earn you about 2800 gp. A full load of (level 30) coal can earn you over 4200 gp. Smithing can make money at higher levels but it's very hard/expensive to get there. Hope this helps
February 12, 200719 yr It depends. Mining iron is a reliable source of income, but you'll have to compete with other miners. Smelting Steel bars earns a steady income, but it can be quite slow. Runecrafting Air runes can earn quick profits, but the amount might be smaller compared to the other two. There are several factors you have to take into consideration. How long will you be staying as F2P? How much time do you have? How much money do you have to spend on materials? If you're looking for ways to earn money at a lower level specifically, then I'd suggest mining Rune essence and making Air runes. If you can obtain 2k Coal and 1k Iron ore, then I'd suggest smelting Steel bars.

February 12, 200719 yr I'd say not mining or smithing, I'd say woodcutting is the best money maker, although theress autoers that take your trees you can still make 300k in one day of playing. If you reall wanna make money, get members and craft nature runes, you can make 300k a hour by doing this, one of the best money makers of all.
February 12, 200719 yr i would say.............smithing would make the most money but its slow........runecrafting dont know mining if u have 60+ try coal in mining guild but i wouldnt start till 70....and i would say woodcutting is good but like he said autoers
February 12, 200719 yr Runecrafting. It's nowhere near as boring as Mining and you don't have to move much :) RC Airs on W16. As soon as you get to 55+ RC you will start to make a profit.
February 13, 200719 yr Author How should I mine? should I start mining iron when I could or continue mining bronze and should I smith and mine at the same time or just get mining up then focus on smithing?
February 13, 200719 yr Focus on my mining. Mine it, drop. Mine it, drop. Once you get lvl 15-20 mining go after iron. Mine full inventory, run to bank and store. I recommend always using RUN ENERGY and wearing nothing or just light clothes. Armor makes your enery run down much faster. February 13, 200719 yr Mining from level 1... If you have not reached 15 yet, get hold of 2 iron ores (ideally from a dropping miner), mine 6 clay and 4 copper, then get your free mining XP from Doric's quest. If you DO have level 15+, mine the iron yourself, as it's still a worthwhile chunk of extra XP. The dropped iron way lets you jump straight to a steel pickaxe, which serves you well until level 21 (Mithril). Unless a skill pure (no combat), training attack to wield your pick saves 1 space on every run.
February 13, 200719 yr mine iron when you get 41 get a rune pick and you get 1 hit iron realy fast. Btw iron is realy in demand i took me 3 hours to get 2k iron ores almost no one is selling it atm
