When your attack is lowered you can still train on the dummies. With enough wine you can get to 99 attack without gaining a hp level! That only existed during RSC I believe and now no longer works. Obtained from: other players, crafted using the crafting skill or bought from the fine clothes shop in Varrock. . . . .~ Iron Chainbody: 0/0/0/-15/0 \ +10/+15/+19/-3/+12 \ 0/0 I would only suggest this if the only magic you plan on using is bind, as with this on you will hit much less often with magic. Its main use is the higher defence without any range negative for offence. Obtained from: Other players, made using the smithing skill or bought from Waynes Chains shop in Falador (210gp). Magic defense is low and it gives terrible offensive stats for any other combat style. Respawn points: Can be telegrabed from the Varrock museum. . . . .~ Leather Chaps: 0/0/0/0/+4 \ +2/+2/+1/0/0 \ 0/0 In my opinion not as good as studded chaps when pking, even with a team. Even though the studded chaps give a magic negative attack bonus the defensive stats are far higher. Obtained from: Other players or made using the crafting skill. . . . .~ Iron platelegs/plateskirt: 0/0/0/-21/-7 \ +11/+10/+10/-4/+10 \ 0/0 Another item I would say is not all that great for hybrid pures, as every single stat of it is worse than that of dragonhide chaps. The only time I would suggest wearing it is if you do not have the required range level and are not planning on using any magic. Obtained from: other players or bought from Horvik̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Armour Shop in Varrock. Respawn points: none. . . . .~ Anti-dragonbreath shield: 0/0/0/0/0 \ +7/+9/+8/+2/+8 \ 0/0 I definitely recommend wearing this if you can. The defensive stats are decens and it gives no offensive negatives whatsoever. Obtained from: Other players, the Duke of Lumbridge You do not have to finish the Dragon Slayer quest to get the shield. You can get more shields by dropping all you have or having them in your inventory as notes and talking to the Duke. He will give you another shield and then you can drop that one as well. Repeat until you have enough then pick them up off the floor and bank them in the Lumbridge bank upstairs. Respawn points: none. . . . .~ Iron kite shield: 0/0/0/-8/̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ2 \ +8/+10/+9/-1/+9 \ 0/0 You coud wear this is you weren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t planning on using magic but it doesn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have all that much better defence than an anti-dragonbreath shield. But it is still worth considering. Obtained from: Other players, made using the smithing skill Cassie̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Shield Shop in Falador (123gp). Respawn points: Rocky Plateau in level (?) wilderness. . . . .~ Rune scimitar: +7/+45/-2/0/0 \ 0/+1/0/0/0 \ +44/0 The only weapon you should be using for melee as a hybrid, except for those K.O.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s. Its speed and accuracy balance is the best nonmembers can use, and it gives a decent strength bonus. Obtained from: other players or made using the smithing skill. . . . .~ Rune two-handed sword: -4/+69/+50/-4/0 \ 0/0/0/0/-1 \ +70/0 The best weapon for K.O.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s , mostly because of its strength bonus. It you plan on bringing a K.O. weapon this should be the one you use. March 22, 200719 yr It looks to be a very well written but the part about avoiding hitpoints is all bull....hitpoints is the skill that ensures you will be able to live long enough in the wildy, by choosing not to lvl hitpoints creates a huge problem for if you are melee/ranger...or melee/mage. :-k

Hitpoints as I said in my guide gives as much combat as defence. So if you can hit 17's and he can only hit 15's. You can easily heal 14 with a swordfish. You will have only 9 less hp from the start as him. If your a Member pure HP is a MUST! As a nonmember you don't have to worry about a pure hitting a 25-25 on you with a DDP(++). You just have to worry about a little 16 on an occasion. The only time that a lot of HP comes in handy is when your being attack by an entire team. But as a nonmember this doesn't happen very often, especially if you have a team of your own.

March 23, 200719 yr Author Drop trading is agianst the rules because Jagex's says. Also about the post 3 before this 1 HP is not that valuable... I could have 61 hp and 78 strength while you have 70 strength and 70 hp. Look on a couple of posts before yours to see a more discriptive post about it.

Overall, Great job with this guide :thumbsup: I learned that I can get my attack to 22 before starting melee training without getting hp xp =) Also, if you're on your f2p pure, you can add Senor_Nixon if you need someone to train/pk with (28 combat now... 42 range)
