Power-mining Questions

Ok First one, which is the fastest way to get my mining up? (All of them are with iron)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mine a full load, drop it all.

 

 

 

Mine a full load in Dwarven Mines, sell it to the ore store

~~~Keep cash

 

 

 

Mine 2- drop 2

 

 

 

Mine 3- drop 3

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm on mine 2 drop 2, but I feel like selling it to the ore store is faster. I'm no so sure.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I have (just about) 72 Mining, how long do you think it'll take for me to get to 85 Mining? I play 1 hour every week-day. And about 2-or so hours every weekend. (It varies, but 2 is a good average. It's for each day, but on Sundays I might get a cut a bit to 1 1/2, but it's always close to 2 hours.)

I think you should get a runner. That would be faster than dropping ore.

on a faster world, there are 2 iron rocks opposite the 3 in Al Kharid Chasm. I like to mine 2, drop 2, and mine mithril as it respawns.

mine 3 drop 3 al kharid chasm. every 6 min, take a break and mine the addy rocks. 30-38k xp per hour

I think you mean the sandstone mine (from the Enahkra's Lament quest), and it was only good when it didn't need waterskins. Now that it does, it's not really feasible for powermining.

I enjoy mining in the hobgoblins mines though. For normal cases, just mine 3 drop 3. If you have 4 rocks mineable without moving too much, go ahead and mine 4 drop 4. I don't really recommend scorpian mine for its large crowd :wall:

That's exactly what I did to get to 85.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You should be able to 1 hit Iron now so the mining, turning, and dropping

 

 

 

takes about the same time as the respawn time.

 

 

 

Thus, you can be very efficient.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As far as being crowded, most of the people that would normally mine

 

 

 

there seemed happy to be able to pick up my ore.

 

 

 

But, if it got crowded then I world hopped.

look in players-made guides there is a very good guide its the skillers guide search for mining and he has a way wich gives the same xp as dropping but also lets you keep it to sel (or use)

mine 3 drop three, you could try it in rimmington but al kharid has worked for me. Dont forget to take breaks!

32 Hours. :D It's not bad though, only one and a half days of non-stop mining 8-)

Ya know, if you don't care for the Al-kahrid spot, there is also the Dorgeshun mines. 3 Iron rock close together. Also, the guy that buys your ores down there pays quite well. I would still drop though.

stick with mine 2, drop 2 if your mining 2 rocks. but generally it'd be a good idea to mine the ores that your stationed at and then drop. (basically if your mining 3 iron rocks, mine 3, drop 3).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the granite/sandstone mine in desert can still give you good exp but it requires waterskins. desert clothes make a 21 water skins last a little over 2 hours.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and for me, from level 70 to 85, it took me 6 days
