l0rdbarney
lol dude this is like ur own shop, that kinda kills the interactive effect of an rpg, ppl would stop talking and just set things up in their shop and also this is a bit like forums, except much easier and prevents scams as an addition, have a second screen like when u trade, cuz what if u accidentally forget a zero, then ur screwed so ya i definitely support but highly doubt itll go through pure:demon_x_king

Guest ShadowClawe
:P :P Yep, this almost surely won't make it out into the game, just a suggestion. Like I said, whats the point in suggesting things if they will never come out?? :P
manatea3O5
yeah but what if 1 person put up however many items for 10m so nobody would buy it so nobody could put items in there. If it had unlimited room, i could see a nice purpose, but i dont believe that would would work out to well. Items would just gather dust in there, and then players would have to have their items deleted from the new and "improved" general store, so it would be like dropping items... I DID say in there somewhere that there would be a time limit for each item, didnt I? If I didnt, then im saying it now. Once the item reaches its time limit in the store and no one has bought it for the agreed price, it disappears from store. Remember that the item doesnt leave the sellers inventory until it is bought. Also remember someoene suggested that if you log out, the item disappears from the store. ~Shadow
Gehackte
I like the idea but will never never never never happen: Already suggested & topics not to suggest. Skills/Character Options: - Player-owned stores * this is just kinda like the POS because you put item for price someone can buy it if yyou think and use your mind like this guy is doing not-> :-s its exactly the same thing so it wont be introduced How does 20 minutes turn into 2.5 hours? Was your math perhaps magical math?
Guest ShadowClawe
Well, thats very optimistic of you, isn't it. Players don't own the store. #-o This is just like a normal general store, just the players can set their own prices. its exactly the same thing Umm... lol
sparticus348
Maybe make special places in the usual crowds of merchants called "Markets" (Surrounding Varrock West bank, etc.). The same thing said; you put up an item, set a price, wait for it to be bought. You must stay in the market until the item is bought or else the item is automatically taken off the market. There are different stalls for different categories, each one covering an extractive process (Woodcutting; Fishing; Mining; Farming) and a manufacturing process (Fletching and Construction; Cooking; Smithing, Crafting and Runecrafting; Herblore; respectively). Then there would be the basic merchanting stalls: Treasure Trails, Rares. Hunting may or may not need it's own stall, I do not really know much about it. Another thing to add could be where you buy something. You set a maximum price you will buy for, a minimum and/or maximum amount, then anyone who puts something up that meets the requirements is automatically bought. You must have enough gp to buy the item in your inventory and enough space for the item, any item that can be noted is automatically noted. Once you buy/sell something on the market, it is not automatically accepted. You go into a trade window with the other person, with the trade window chat box suggested on these forums (Unfortunately I cannot remember creator's name, will edit in later). Both items/gp are already offered. Then it is just a regular trade from there. Even more things to add are tabs that swap between buying/selling markets (actualy it is essential), ability to organize market by player/item/price/etc. If you were to log out while in market, any item you had posted is automatically taken off. Seeing as the item is never actually taken from your inventory until you get to the trade window, there is next to no danger of losing your item through a minor glitch. This is more of a match-making service for buyers and sellers, much like the official forums but in-game, F2p, more organized and gets straight to the point. If this is stretching the idea way too much, tell me and I will make a new thread, but still credit ShadowClawe : We have an Albert Einstein here!!!! Oh yeah guys sorry if I havent been checking this thread. I rely on my email to tell me when someone posts on this thread, but it hasnt been sending me any... :wall: :wall: This would make merchants obsolete. But I love the general store idea - except for the fact that the space is limited, and there would be mass number of people trying to sell items. Since people aren't really hosting their own, I suppose : Besides, this is more thought-out than most player-owned store ideas. Most people just post one sentence stating that they should be implemented. So unless another moderator/administrator disagrees, I think it's fine : And I'm glad you like the signature, Gyroman26 :D Heres to you, Gehackte. ~Shadow Oh yeah, another thing. skeroh
It seems like a good idea, but if you went AFK or logged out, would your item dissapear? It reminds me of a thing in FlyFF, another game i play, which was Player-Owned Shops. You could make a small shop with a speech bubble, and prices and just go afk, but Jagex says you can't go afk Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
25leaf
I like it, I could sell a lot of things I hate selling like deffence ammyes and magic ammyes along with any random junk I may come by. flava0falcon
you've got my support...i jsut dont see why the trade screen thing that guy suggested...it can just be like a store with tons of item (which are not stackable for more than 1 player for example you can have 2 plots of arrows of the same kind since each player has its own price and even if its the same price etc...) and then anyone can find an item he(/she) wants and see the price someone offered and the name of the guy...it will make merchanting way less annoying but will result in lots of people near general stores in merchanting worlds (such as world 1 or 2) support new ghostly stuff here.I see RuneScape slowly turning into a sadistic version of WoW..signature your as this use backwards this read to enough smart were you If

Pivotto
I support, but you should make it more of an Auction House than add it to the General Store. If I get the time I will make a new look for the Auction House.
