A stratocaster is, as standard fitted with three single coil pickups (two standard, bridge pickup offset), not humbuckers. Humbuckers are double coil pickups, used for a fatter sound, and for noise reduction, much in the sameway that a stratocaster in the bridge/middle or middle/neck pickup selection will do. The difference between Stratocasters is the pickups and shape. Basically, the Stratocaster is a great 'Jack of all trades' guitar, the Telecaster is more specific in its sound. Thats not to say that they can't be used for rock etc though, lots of people use them for it.

I agree with the Victoria Cross, unbelieve prestige with that one. I'd like to point out that people always neglect to mention the Fields Medal. It's a medal awarded once every four years, and only to mathematicians under 40, making it a little more exclusive than the Nobel Prize.

If you're gonna drop money on a custom guitar, make it a real custom guitar. Find a luthier in your area and come up with a design with him. I'm not a big fan of big name custom shops at all.

I find The Neden Game and [bleep] The World to be pretty funny, other than that, can't stand them.

Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Vagrant Story, Tales of Symphonia and Devil May Cry are all games I hold above most others. The Final Fantasys and Symphonia because of the almost complete immersion in the game, Vagrant Story because of its ridiculous complexity and brilliance as a game, and Devil May Cry because there's nothing more fun than the sword/gun battle style in the game.

It's Bo Duke actually, and yeah, that bit had me in stitches.

You get a 'special' triple jump for getting all the stars as well. Nothing amazing, you just sparkle a little and bounce after the third jump.

Pretty interesting band I've been enjoying lately, they're like a mix between indie and rave, the lead vocalist of the band dubbed them 'new rave'. Atlantis to Interzone This song won Song of the Year on MTV2's Review of the Year, so they are getting a little bit of appreciation. Anyway, I just thought it was cool that rave was coming back, even if only in a small way, so I thought I'd share/see if anyone else was into them.

Government legislation will help keep people quiet. Ban smoking in public places and people have almost no reason to complain. The adjustment period for the smoking ban in Scotland was TINY, it's not really a big deal.

That's a ridiculous argument. So because the world sucks, we should let you do whatever you want and inhale your toxins into our bodies? I don't see how anyone could possibly defend smoking. It's harmful, it costs money, and it harms others, even. It makes you smell gross, it tastes gross, and if you need it to relax you, then you've got problems. I'm sorry, I thought quoting Bill Hicks might help lift the spirits of this topic a little. Clearly it was a lost cause. The Scottish (and soon British) government has banned smoking in all enclosed public places, but that doesn't seem to be enough to some people. I'm quite happy to smoke outside when I'm at the pub, even on freezing winter nights. If I'm outside, why isn't that enough for some people? Because whilst considerate smokers are fine, a lot of smokers who are asked to go and smoke outside when they are in a non-smoking building, do so, but they stand in the doorway so that you still get the smoke wafting in and out, and you still have to walk through the cloud of carcinogens to get in and out of the building. So start a topic slating inconsiderate people, and leave me alone.
