I rather like the new Orange advert, with the two little walking hugging things. It's brilliant advertising, so simple. People are going to want to buy those little things as well.

This thought, impulse, or image cannot be expunged by logic or reasoning. He's not using the way it's used nowadays. In literal meaning, obsession is very unhealthy.

Distant Early Warning and 2112 are two of my favourite songs. I went to see Rush on their 30th anniversery tour, they were fantastic.

Absolutely, they're great. I love their cover of 'imagine' from Lennon. And they're quite different from Tool, only the thrilling voice of Maynard is the same, even though he uses it differently. That's basically what I said to him earlier. I just posted that so I could add that I went to see Tool (for the second time!) on Saturday. They were unbelievable. Wings For Marie/10,000 Days played in full, 'nuff said.

I think Muse should be much, much bigger than they are. They still sellout tours, and they're getting good radio play from Starlight and Knights of Cydonia, but they should be absolutely MASSIVE.

That reminds me, 'blasphemy' has a nice ring to it.

Cydonia is a section of Mars. It's where the 'face' and some other interesting land formations lie.

When I was younger I did that thing where you get someone to push on your chest to make you faint (I was so smart). I had a dream that felt like about a year or so long.

Alot of the comments posted in protest to it were generalisations about fighting, not specific to the thread. I'm just rolling with the punches. (Bad pun.)

You don't have to be so extremely arrogant about it. I don't agree with this arranged fight stuff (it's very 'television'), but if a fight starts in the spur of the moment and your friend gets hit, are you honestly not going to help out? I expect from all my friends that if something starts, they've got to have my back, and they know I'll have theirs in a similar situation.

I'm currently listening to the ringing in my ears, having just returned from a Muse concert.

It's not large... At all. The typography is a real problem for me.

Also, to properly understand an album like Lateralus, you need some basic knowledge in things like Jungian psychology, alchemy and other similar subjects.

Definately start with Lateralus, because it's the best, but don't expect the other albums to be like that. Tool went through a progression between their 4 albums (mainly because they all got so much older, they've only released 4 albums since 1992), so if you listen to Undertow and then 10,000 Days, you'll hear a huge difference. Undertow is angry, quick, and not at all as spiritual and subtle as Lateralus or 10,000 Days.

Do you have a last.fm account Lateralus? I`m pretty curious to see what your list would look like. http://www.last.fm/user/Danabis/ It's not entirely accurate to my tastes, I listen to alot of stuff on my iPod that I don't listen to on my PC, but oh well. Ooh nice :) There's been quite a hype about The Libertines here lately. How do you like them? There's 3 bands I absolutely adore - Tool, Muse, and The Libertines. It's just a shame they only put out 2 albums before splitting, because their self titled is in my top 5 CDs for a reason.
