  1. Ya I'm also amazed at how low Obama is willing to sink also. Criticizing McCain for saying he doesn't use computers when it is because he has poor dexterity and can't use a keyboard because of his war injures. What happened to Obama taking us beyond this kind of politics?
  2. So you believe the government was working in tandem with Al Qaida to pull off a combo terrorist attack/government conspiracy? It's almost stupid enough to be true. And you spelled pseudo wrong, but I used the wrong there so we are even. To unspam.
  3. Yes, Ginger. We are sympathetic about 9/11, so we citizens declared war. -.- Possibly your worst post ever. I don't recall saying you personally did, or even that America in general did, before you attempt to bring old personal scores up, Zierro. I was referring to the video Jack posted, which seems to imply 9/11 is a just cause for the war in Iraq. For the matter, Bush's approval rating of around 85% when the War on Terror began. Not that that means you chose war directly, but the majority didn't exactly oppose it at the time either. I know it talks about the war a little bit but it the song was written before Iraq and it explicitly says it is about Afghanistan. If there were pictures of Saddam mixed in there with Bin Laden you would have a point. And don't make this about the war. Todd Beamer. Bay Area native who lead the charge into the cockpit of Flight 93. Before they made there move an operator who was still on the line heard him speak his immortal last words. "Lets Roll" [hide=][/hide] The lights never should have come down. When the building falls the scream is just terrifying.
  4. This isn't about the war, this isn't a liberal vs. conservative thing. This is about not forgetting what happened. Why do you have to turn this into an argument? Godofjoy I'm not sure if this is the place for a Celtic's video.
  5. I'm terrible at drawing so I never used to doodle. I think in reality more than 8% of people have that. Like freshmen and sophomore year that's what everyone used to draw in other peoples books and papers.
  6. That doesn't even make sense. Anyway...
  7. ^^ French people are notoriously rude. However I love France. They helped us win the Revolution. Why does it have to be an argument? Can't it just be honoring the dead? I mean honestly, I didn't even say anything. It's a tribute to 9/11 not an argument. :wall:
  8. Yes because anyone who disagrees with you is insane.
  9. eww. I remember when Stanford beat USC. :D

Okay so Georgia was trying to regain control of their own territory and then russia invaded Georgia way beyond any disputed territory and it's Georgia's fault? Anyway if it played out like that and Georgia was part of NATO we could still weasel our way out of helping them. And russia wouldn't have done it if they were. And we are fighting Al Qaida in Iraq.

He's right in the respect that Germany used the fact that the sudetenland and other area's they wanted were mostly populated by ethnic Germans to give weight to his claim to them, and russia did the same thing in order to invade Georgia. And in Iraq they are still fighting Al Qaida over there. :wall:
  12. Man, just watching this all on t.v. again is something. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was scared silly. My dad was in Chicago and was supposed to be flying home and I didn't know what plane he was supposed to be on. I thought the TransAmerica Pyramid or the Golden Gate bridge was going to go down next. My mom worked at the airport but she had the day off so I was worried about her going back to work. What really hit me was something that I don't even remember where I heard it. It was the people who jumped out of the building. I couldn't even comprehend that. The feeling of horror they must have had from the fire to do that. And that really scared me. People being scared enough to jump out of a building.

I think he's right. And I doubt very few people actually know of the term "Bush Doctrine" seeing as it isn't widely used and is only mainly applicable to Iraq.

Okay she said that we might uphold our obligation to NATO and that is what you're flipping out about? And russia's attacks weren't justified.

How about you watch the interview before spazzing out? The actual question was if russia invaded Georgia and Georgia was part of NATO and she said...

I said foreign policy experience isn't an issue. Not experience overall. Now compared to Reagan, and Clinton, Governor Palin is relatively inexperienced and that is an issue. Still a Governorship is better experience than a Senator. Is that why 300 economists(including at least one who supports Obama) signed onto McCain's economic plan?
  17. ^^ Well you know anyone who isn't from California, New England, Miami, Chicago, or Seattle would be a redneck. People who live in "fly over country" You know, the empty mass of land in between New York and San Francisco.

^^ No way. Obama will take us beyond the politics of the past. No joke. No matter who he picked they would have gone after him. And I just realized the claim that she has no foreign policy experience carries little weight. No Governor does. Including Romney, Huckabee, Clinton, or Reagan
  19. I'm no scientist but I think that some of the characteristics of life are growth, reproduction, and metabolism. Now I'm not sure how you can apply all of those to a specific organism because that would mean someone who is sterile isn't alive. But a baby meets those as much as anything else. If you are trying to figure out when it gets it's 'soul' or whatever you would call it, that is another story. And I don't see how a pro-life stance has anything to do with raising taxes to care for people with disabilities.
  20. ^^ That is completely bs. I've met Buzz Aldrin. He's been to the moon.
  21. ^^ +1 It's a good pick but it doesn't really help or hurt Obama. It's not really a game changer. Just a safe pick. Biden knows his stuff pretty well. EDIT: Just remembered this from the rnc. Palin got more votes for Governor than Biden did for President.

    They are government started companies.
  23. I regard life as beginning when a foetus has a chance of surviving on its own as well as when it gains the ability to feel pain/suffering. Without referring to your own beliefs, what exactly is wrong with that reasoning? Whats wrong with it is that it's silly. You don't dispute that it is of the human species at the time of conception do you? And I'm not sure what all of the criteria of life are exactly but I know one of them. Not being dead. Are you going to say a baby is dead until it is viable? If it is human and it is alive what would ending it's life be called? http://www.abortionno.org/Resources/adoption.html You must be confused. Republicans do a lot to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. What they want is to keep them in the hands of law abiding citizens.
